Description: We’ve turned a modern lens on traditional Italian cooking. North Italia is our love letter to Italy—a place that’ll make you feel like you’ve stepped off a charming side street to discover a culinary gem. After a decade in business, we’ve learned a thing or two and we’re approaching perfection in the art of handmade pasta and pizza. Every day, we start from scratch to create dishes like Strozzapreti with Bloomsdale spinach or supple ribbons of tagliatelle for our Bolognese. Our pizza is a revelation: an airy, barely chewy center embraced by a perfectly crisp crust. With the spirit of the Italian taverna, North is the place to talk shop over a cocktail or swap gossip sharing delectable chef creations.Every neighborhood would be lucky to have a place like North.

The food was excellent. The atmosphere is very special.
It is a trendy and cool place, casual modern style.
Great dishes and tasty. Loud with a certain 'cache'.
Like it!

The restaurant is part of the Kierland outdoor mall and the place was quite busy on a Saturday night. Place doesn't have a huge menu - a pizza, bowl of pasta and carafe of sangria worked for dinner. Not the cheapest place, but food quality generally OK. Would recommend.

We had dinner here one night with a couple and their child who were business friends. We reserved through Open Table and requested a round table, and were seated immediately at one of their few round tables. Service was quick and friendly and very informed (waiter recommended a Super Tuscan wine that was out of this world). Our table had salads (simple and caesar), chicken parmesan, spaghetti and meatballs, scallop risotto, short ribs, and some bolognese for the table. For dessert we had gelato and the salted caramel budino. Everything we sampled was fabulous. While this restaurant is not super fancy in appearance, it struck the perfect balance...lively but excelling at what's important.

There were four of us for lunch at 1:30 pm on a week day. Two were very satisfied with their selections and service except for trying to flag down a waiter for another beer. I ordered a Caesar salad with light dressing - it came with NO dressing! My husband ordered a chicken salad sandwich and he received a chicken salad. They took it back and brought him a chicken sandwich - not a chicken salad sandwich. My recommendation is that it is a good place for a glass of wine or maybe dinner. We had dinner last year and enjoyed it, had good service and great food. What a difference a year can make!
