The staff is very friendly and helpful. Hotel decorated with new modern style art and colors. Great place to party and socialize.

The room was fairly small, but the bed was very comfortable and the shower was unique and big.

The pool itself is kind of small, but the pool deck area is very big with plenty of room to layout, rest, whatever. And the waitresses at the pool were top notch.

The gym consists of 2 elipticals, 2 treadmills and a couple of weight machines. Very small area and not nearly what i was expecting. But maybe they don't expect a lot of people to work out while staying there.

Overrall it was a very nice hotel but next time i might give another place a try.

We had a nice stay here and were especially impressed by the well-appointed rooms and friendly staff. Rooms aren't huge, but have comfy beds, nice design and a large shower. Staffers are quick to respond, knowledgeable and very friendly from the moment you walk in. Free coffee in the lobby is a nice touch. Huge pool area means no problem finding space to swim and sun.

Food and drink offerings in the hotel mostly disappointing. Dismal, boring beer and wine selection and an emphasis on sugary, pastel-colored cocktails. Overpriced, too. No point eating or drinking there, but there are several better places nearby, including some within walking distance.

Design in the lobby and at the bar around the pool is a little over the top, but neither is a bad hang. Both turn into a loud meat market scene on weekend nights. Whether that's good or bad is up to you, but just know what you're getting into. (Be warned that the music, teen dance-quality electronica at best, needs improvement. With all the money they sunk into furniture and design, you'd expect them to spend a few bucks picking out decent music, or even a few seconds finding a creative Spotify playlist.) This is not an ideal stay for travelers of a certain age or those with young children.

The hotel has a dated WiFi plan that charges "per device," but fortunately there's free access in the lobby to get around that. It's fine for a leisure visit, but could be problematic for business travelers.

This hotel is a lot of fun, crazy nighttime scene, and a great place to party for Spring Training. Keep in mind this hotel is NOT for relaxing during the Baseball Spring Training timeframe. Loud music pumping at the pool.

My husband and I stayed here for Spring Training. We had heard and read bad reviews of the hotel. However, we enjoyed it greatly. We arrived on a Friday and departed on a Sunday. The staff was friendly and very helpful. From the check in staff, concierge, pool staff to the door staff. Scottsdale was very busy with a active bar scene but on our 5 floor room we heard none of it. When we wanted to participate the pool/bar/club was fun with young fun people. It was also walking distance to the stadium too. Our only complaint is that the gym is very small. Next time we won't rent a car. parking is $25/day and the hotel has a car service.

Room Tip: Higher floors are quieter.

Amazing service, great location, and fantastic facilities. It is no wonder that this is the Scottsdale hotspot during spring break and spring training--but it definitely more than that. Be treated like a celeb (whether you are one or not) from the time you arrive until you depart. Great rooms and cool bar and pool scene. We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Night life can be sort of loud so if you end the night early you may want a room away from the pool.

W is definitely my favorite Starwood Brand to visit... and the W Scottsdale did not disappoint. We only had one night, but wish it was more.. The hotel was quiet for the most part giving us the entire pool area to ourselves. We had a busy day and retreated to our room for some in room dining and i have to say it was the best we have ever had. The rooms are very well appointed and we had a view of the courtyard.. the weather was great so we cracked our sliding door and were treated to the sounds of running water from the fountains below.. The Talent were more than helpful and were always friendly with all interactions.. Kudos to Robert from the Welcome Desk and kokee from Whatever/Whenever for making our escape even more enjoyable. We will be back! you can count on that!

I stayed at The W Scottsdale for 8 days in November. This hotel met and exceeded my expectations in every way, except one. The service and attentiveness was amazing, room service was on point, and the decor will blow you away. Definitely one of the best locations as far as a nice hotel in Scottsdale and the atmosphere is what you would expect from the W. The only flaw was housekeeping. We constantly had to call for tissues and toilet paper because the maids did not refill them when they did the daily cleaning. The room was clean when we arrived but the daily cleaning was very disappointing. Three days in a row our mirror was not clean, it still had water and toothpaste over-spray on it. Finally on the third day I called the front desk and they sent someone up right away to clean it. I assumed that after that they would clean it every day but they still did not. I travel to Scottsdale twice a year and this is for sure one of only three places ill stay when I go there but I just wish the maid service was better. Other than that this hotel shines in every way, service, decor, atmosphere, and location.
