“Loved it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 February 2012

I only stayed one night at the Junipine, but I would go back in a heartbeat. The location was gorgeous and private. No complaints. Service was excellent, the front desk staff was very nice and helpful. Everything was perfect, including breakfast at the restaurant. The condo far exceeded my expectation.

I have to say that this condo exceeded my expectations. We went for a short 2 night weekends with the goal of relaxing and hiking. Not interested in going to Sedona and doing all the touristy stuff. Been there done that and it is boring, for me. The service is fantastic. The rooms are immaculate as well as the full kitchen. The pay great attention to details as well. Chris, the manager, suggested a couple of hikes but only went on one since we got snow on the last day. If you are an avid hiker and don't mind 3 to 4 hours of hiking, check the Sterling Pass Trail and be rewarded with stunning views and the Vultee Arch. It's rigorous hiking and climbing. We will definitely go back again and again.

Junipine is in a perfect location near oak creek. There is a good hiking trail from the property. It is far enough away from the town of Sedona to feel secluded, but close enough to drive to and from town easily. The staff are very friendly! There is also a great breakfast restaurant on the grounds. Would recommend for romance or a family trip!

Room Tip: We used a room with a spa on the patio. It was nice to have in the winter! A creek view would also b...

My wife and I have been here twice. It is located in the beautiful oak creek canyon. The resort is in a very scenic area. It is about 20 minutes away from the touristy area of Sedona, but we never minded the drive. The rooms are basically condos. We have had a two story condo and a single story. We really liked having fire places in the living room and bedroom. We also had a jacuzzi on the patio, which is really cool and romantic. When we first went there they put us in the wrong room and we didn't have a jacuzzi like we had booked. The manager more than took care of us. Depending on the way places handle things when mistakes are made determine if we ever go back or not. We definitely went back and will be back again. We had food at the restaurant. We really liked the ribs and the cheesecake.

We were in Sedona to celebrate our anniversary, but decided to escape the activities of the town for our accommodations. We drove about 8 miles up Oak Creek Canyon to Junipine Resort. I had read some favorable reviews here on TripAdvisor, so basically knew what to expect. We were not disappointed!

It was raining when we arrived at the resort; we were warmly welcomed by “Gayle” at the front desk. Check-in was quick and efficient. We were directed to our “home” in condo #33. When we opened the door, we were blown away by how nice everything was! First of all, someone had turned on the heat for us, thank goodness! The condo was quite deluxe with its nice furnishings, huge rock fireplace in the living room, second fireplace in the bedroom, granite countertops, fully-equipped kitchen, divided bath with two vanities, complimentary use of DVDs, and free internet. There was a flat screen TV in the living room and another in the bedroom (unfortunately, bed footboard obstructed view of TV screen). There is also an upstairs area, but doors were locked to guests. How cozy it was to listen to the rain fall on the skylights while warming up by the fire.

The morning of our departure, the “traditional keys” had to be turned in at the office, but check-out was quick and effortless. (Be sure to notice the adorably unique door hardware on the office door!) We were very pleased with everything and would like to return in the spring or summer months when we might enjoy the large decks and outside areas.

Room Tip: We requested a "creekside condo," but honestly it wouldn't have mattered either way be...

This was the most romantic place to stay ever. It was like having a timeshare... The house itself was kept nicely, lots of furnished items and no major issues at all. The heaters didn't seem to do a great job but we made up for that with the 2 wood fireplaces and some cuddle time. The best part was the jacuzzi... I will be recommending this place to everyone i know.

My kids and wife have gone here twice now and it's just perfect for a low cost adventure for the weekend. The hotel rooms were very clean both times we went. there is a cool trail that goes along the creek in the back of the hotel that kids and adults both love. The restaurant has great service and the food is somewhat ok, but it's nice to have a restaurant close enough to walk to. And it can be very romantic.

Room Tip: Get one near the creek it's worth the extra cost.
