The location is magnificent but the hotel design is awful with numerous stairs up and down and many rooms totally without any views. Even those on the top floor are dark rooms with dark furniture and a pity as this place could have bee spectacular.Make sure you stipulate and get an upper room.

My twin sister and I celebrated our birthday, along with my daughter and nephew, in Sedona at the Hyatt Pinion Pointe. The accommodations were very comfortable and the setting and location were perfect. Easy walk to the shops and restaurants in town and convenient and easy access to hiking trails and attractions. The pool deck is in a beautiful setting to relax and observe the red rocks. The Hyatt generously gifted us with a bottle of wind and fruit/cheese tray to welcome us for our birthday trip. Great experience!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. We were incredibly happy with our room, the resort itself, and its location.

Our room (king bedroom, living room, kitchen) was very nice! It had very nice furnishings and everything was in great shape and working order. There was a small balcony off the bedroom (no view) and a large balcony off the living room with beautiful views. The bathroom was very large with a wonderful and VERY large shower. We very much appreciated having the stackable washer and dryer! The working gas fireplace was a great touch in the evening.

We used the hot tub one evening. It was a pretty dark walk, but the flashlights left under the sink helped. Sitting by the pool the next day was wonderful! The views from the pool area are stunning.

The hotel is in the perfect location to walk to the shops and restaurants.

If ever in Sedona, I would stay here again!

Stayed here in Oct. 2017. As an Interval International Member, we did a timeshare exchange, and got a 2 bedroom. Overall a beautiful resort, as an II member, I don't expect a room with a premiere view; however, I expected more room wise than what was delivered. (I've stayed at other Hyatts as an II member during primetime, and my room was much nicer). Read below...
a)view from pool cannot be beat
b)great workout and business facility, both open until 10pm
c)centrally located, walking distance to shops and restaurants
d)helpful concierge

a)room we stayed needed a facelift. TV in master bedroom is in a cabinet, to the side of the bed, and the doors kept closing on the TV-annoying!
b)no easily accessible electrical outlets next to the bed. Easy solution-bring in lamps that have an electrical outlet
c)couch in living room was awfully uncomfortable to sit on
d)2nd bedroom (which is a lock-off as well) was like a dungeon. No daylight came into this room, and to add insult to injury, the patio for this room faces a cement wall. It's extremely unfair to people staying in this room to face a cement wall after traveling to beautiful Sedona.
e)another suggestion-provide enough coffee to get guests thru until mid-week cleaning so one doesn't have to walk to lobby or activity center to get coffee (PS Hyatt Grand Aspen provides 2x/day housekeeping, while your resort provides mid-week only. I don't understand that discrepancy).

One cannot request their room in advance, you "get what you get" as an exchange member. That being said, I don't think getting a patio facing a cement wall for guests is fair. I've been doing this for 20+ years, and have not encountered this type of situation before.

This was a nice resort overall. Staff was helpful and pleasant. We were switched to a nicer room when the first room we were assigned had a major issue. The main dislike we had with this hotel was that it was very difficult to find where the specific rooms are located. Being a huge complex, there were relatively few signs to direct us. Nothing is lit well, and we drove around a few extra times and had a hard time deciding which path went to our room. I believe the only rooms close to the pool area are those for timeshare patrons. Luckily the reassigned room was within a short walk, but if your room is towards the top of the hill, you will be walking a bit through the hilly parking area and road. Other than that, the room was decent, although decorated in a more heavy wood and west type theme, which isn't my personal style. The pool area has a nice view.

We are currently staying here. We so excited when we drove into the property. The front desk was very kind and nice. However the room is so bad that we are literally whispering. It is a romantic get away for us and there is a wooden door that separates us from the unit next door and they are eating and doing dishes or something literally in the room we are sitting in right next to the door. There is no other place to sit and the bed is right there. We have stuffed extra blankets and towels near the door to buffer the sound. We are hyatt members and wasted an award night for this junky terrible room. Also, the kind bed sits upon a rickety metal frame that squeaks and the mattress is hard as a brick. Maybe the other rooms are nicer, but the studio is just terrible and I plan on contacting Hyatt management tomorrow. We wasted our night.

You wont be disappointed by staying at this hotel. The rooms are extremely clean, large, and have every amenity. Also, the staff is very accommodating. This hotel is centrally located and close to shopping and restaurants. This is an excellent location within walking distance to everything....
