We are Wyndham owners. This trip partially was just trying to use up our annual points. We chose a place that we had never been which was Sedona for this time. To our surprise, we had a great time there and Wyndham Sedona made our trip so pleasant. First of all, their staff were knowledgeable about what what visitors' needs and interest, as well as the geological surroundings. They are very friendly and patient to tell people "how to"and "what to" . There are organized activities, such as hiking, yoga class, Grand Canyon trips, and evening shows. They publicize them to let new comers know and many of them were free.

The units are apartment style. The kitchen had all-you-need cooking stuff neatly lined up in the closet and cabinet. It looked clean everywhere. The lay-out of the unit is spacious and homey. Restaurants and regular supermarket (Safeway) are nearby, some of them are in walking distance. That makes meals easy, fun and cheaper.

What about the scenery? Every photo shot can be a postcard in Sedona. I thought I would not be able to enjoy the beauty of rocks. I was totally wrong. The formations around Sedona
are magnificent, majestic and mystic; just like what we were introduced. There are also many things to do in the vicinity, including learning part of the natives (Navajo) history. Trying the local edibles is so fun, and eating cactus is amazing. I rarely saw green grass and lawns in this area. However, the yellow, red ground and spaced vegetation makes a different beauty, different from the beauty of the east, different from what I used to see. This trip was my wonderful surprise, it was also my eye opener.

The Wyndham Sedona was a wonderful place to spend a week. It’s a fairly small resort and our 1 bedroom deluxe unit was comfortable and well equipped. Though the resort had a heated outdoor pool, and various activities available, we didn’t really take advantage of any of them. The unit was clean and cheerful, with nice furniture and appointments. There was a noisy, but very efficient stacked washer and dryer. They stress “quiet time” and you are advised not to use either your washer, dryer or Jacuzzi tub between the hours of 10 p.m and 7 a.m.

The resort was conveniently located near stores and restaurants - within a couple blocks of the Safeway to get groceries, but in the quiet end of town. Restaurants and shops are an easy drive away. The bed was very comfortable and I believe our unit must have been recently upgraded as compared to some reviews, everything in the unit was in great condition.

We didn't have a great view from our unit, but all of Sedona is beautiful and this was a great place to stay while getting out to see all of the sights in the area. It snowed one night and seeing the snow on the shrubs and tops of the red rocks was amazing.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a good view - we didn't and got a large patio overlooking wood chips and shr...

We spent two weeks here in February. At first, I was disappointed that it was not within walking distance of downtown, however realized that it was quieter and more peaceful as a result.
It's located close to a grocery store, so it's easy to pick up groceries. There are a few restaurants nearby as well.
Our unit was spacious and we had a nice view of the red rocks. There are activities offered if you are interested. The pool and workout areas are good.
The only downside (why it doesn't get a rating of 5) is that you will be pestered to go through a presentation for their timeshare system. We were told that it would be "only an hour." After 90 minutes, I got very frustrated because I really did not want to be there in the first place. However, if you don't agree to sit through the presentation, the staff are instructed to call you every day to pressure to do it. At least we got it out of the way early in our stay, but it did leave a bad taste in my mouth.

Room Tip: One bedroom deluxe will give you a balcony, so you can get a view of the surrounding red rocks.

Stayed through a vacation exchange with RCI for a week at the end of January. Very nice resort, though not luxury finishes, but in very good condition. Apparently they are going to be doing some extensive upgrades to the units over the next couple years. My only complaints are that the bed was a little soft, and the shower heads were extremely loud. The pool and hot tub were nice. It's a decent location on the main road in West Sedona. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for only four days at the end of January 2012, and we are planning, even now, our return trip. The area around Sedona (Red Rock Country) is some of the most stunning in the country. Every turn of the road provides another outstanding view of the rock formations, and the changing light throughout the day renders striking colors everywhere.
Wyndham Sedona, set just off the main drag in town, is a quiet, low key, resort with a very accomodating staff. We had a minor maintaince issue during our stay and no sooner had I hung up the phone with the front desk than the doorbell rang. Fixed within 5 minutes. I do not think this would happen too many other places. Our two bedroom lockoff (2 seperate units with a connecting door) had everything we could want or need for our stay.
The outdoor pool and hot tub are open 24 hours and are heated to 82 degrees. Envision 1 AM, in the hot tub toasty warm in January looking at the most stars you have ever seen in your life in a crystal clear sky. Heaven right here on earth.

Room Tip: Try to get a room number 1000-1999, because they will have the best views. And if you don't min...

This was our first trip to Sedona in the Winter. The weather was disagreeable which made us appreciate our resort even more! We could look out at the red rocks even when we couldn't hike. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. There were two couples and another that would join us from another resort. There was plentry of space to entertain and enjoy our meals. We also enjoyed shopping, a six-mile hike, our drive to Jerome and the 50's style diner in Cottonwood! We finally tried the Coffee Pot Restaurant and the breakfast was delicious. Our favorite Mexican Restaurant this trip was the Havelina Cantina--excellent! We purchased a beautiful rug from Azadi at Tlaquepaque (see Richard)! We would have enjoyed the hot tubs at the resort but it was so cold outdoors. The location of Wyndham Sedona was great!

OK - we had only 2 days to spend at this resort and we are already planning our return in May. Front desk staff not warm and fuzzy - but nice enough. The room we were in was lovely - the only view was off the patio and it looked onto a street and trailer park - but It was a BEAUTIFUL unit. Glad we own here. We did not have to be bothered by being invited to the 'owners survey' since we only stayed 2 nights which was a blessing. We had a large well appointed kitchen, lovely living room and very comfy bedroom and separate tub and shower area. 5 stars - can't really rate staff as we had no interaction. had to drive to the pool area for the hot tub (cause it was cold and rainy not because we are lazy) - would not have been a problem walk at all on a nice day. We are going back! Love Sedona - not the commercialized part - but the spiritual feel of the place.

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view of the mountains - everything else was wonderful
