website says under new management..it was okay for the price you paid for... BUT IF THINGS DIDNT GO THE WAY IT SHOULD BE, its horrible. we stayed for 1 night just passing thru sedona for business and pleasure... and we brought our PET. they do accept pet, but not in the particular room we stayed ( 1 king with a fireplace); they dont. We decided to bring our pet and put his own bed in our SUV; his pads if he wants to go in the middle of the night and his diapers., since our dog is more comfy staying 1 nyt in a hotel room , and let our dog stayed in the car, and we take turns with my fiancee checking him. The following morning, when were checking out we talked to the manager that the dog just stayed inside the car and we didnt let him stay or even get closed to the stairs of the hotel.when i was checking my bank charges that afternoon, the hotel ended up charging us hotel pet fee of $250. called the hotel management and the receptionist who answered my call was so RUDE, AND HORRIBLE AND SO UNPROFESSIONAL, HER NAME IS SHANTEL, SOUNDS LIKE IT ON MY PHONE CONVERSATION AND MY PHONE RECORDINGS..(hoping i can put our conversation here so all of you gys can hear). i dont know why she still has her job, shes very unprofessional and doesnt know how to handle situations like this. called her again and wanted to explain what happened and she just pick up the phone and put us on hold for a couple of minutes while my fiancee was talking to the business bureau and their chamber of commerce....very unprofessional. i was about to stay to the same hotel again coz I have family and friends coming over from out of state, will never happen and I will be telling everybody that I know that never stay in this hotel from a such horrible stay and horrible customer service....

(as of press time- called my bank about it already and put the charges on hold until we file complaint for the hotel under AAA, business bureau and Sedona's chamber of commerce).

Stayed here for one snowy, cold evening in April and was pleased with the convenient locations and amenities. Would definitely come back for a future stay.

We enjoyed Desert Quail so much we stayed on the way to and from the Grand Canyon and during our last visit to Sedona. It's in the village of Oak Creek with great galleries, restaurants and shops all around it (and a lower tax rate than Sedona itself). The rooms were very nice, the kind rooms especially so. The used the microwave and fridge as well as the fireplace and jacuzzi in the king room. Staff was great and helpful, especially Francine. Beautiful views of the red rocks right outside the doors. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: The King rooms cost a little more but are very nicely decorated and have some great extras. All room...

My wife and son stayed at the Desert Quil Inn on short notice with some help from a Fodders guide book. They were able to accomodate us on short notice and were very nice. The views from our nicely appointed room was great. About 1/2 mile north are some of Sedona's prettiest landscapes, Bell Rock and Courthouse rock. The owners were especially helpful about things to do in Sedona. Check em out it's a really nice diversion from the chain hotels. I took a walk early one morning in the neighborhood behind the hotel only to encounter actual desert quail. Pretty cool to see the hotels nameseke nearby..

The Quail Inn is a fantastic place to stay and a great deal. Their rooms are in super shape, clean and updated, and the King bed we had was super comfortable. Staff was very accommodating from the moment we checked in, helping us with local attraction and dining questions. At one point our large, flat-screen TV was not showing a channel we wanted to see. After quickly coming up to unsuccessfully reprogram the TV, they then switched it out right away.
Location can be everything. You are a few minutes from downtown Sedona and great restaurants. I suggest eating at Pago's Pizzeria and Italian Cuisine. Like the hotel, very reasonable and excellent in every way.

Room Tip: We had an upstairs room which was very quiet. I would expect most rooms are pretty quiet though as y...
