My husband and I spent 2 nights at Tropical Sands and wish we could have stayed many more. The location is 2 minutes to the beach where we enjoyed surfing and relaxing. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and some great beach vendors. We stayed In the room with a kitchenette and it was lovely and spacious. The bed was comfortable, there were great hot showers and all the utensils you needed to make a small meal for yourself. Amy was very friendly and helpful. Thank you so much for a great stay in Dominical.

Thank you so much for your glowing review!
We are so happy you enjoyed the kitchenette. They are great rooms and allow for more flexibility and personal time. Eating out every night can get tiring ;)
(although Dominical does have some great restaurants!)
We are happy you enjoyed your time here and we are always happy to help to give you the best advise we can!
I hope your travels ended well & until the next time when you can stay longer ;)
Pura Vida,
Amy&Ken

Really nice hotel at the end of the road. The owners take a great deal of pride in this place and it shows. The room is a decent size and the bed really comfy. We had a hammock right outside the room and a small table and chairs. Good coffee in the morning and the breakfast is great. There is a restaurant right across the street that has good food and large portions. Also a laundry located next to the cafe. It is a short 3 min. walk to the uncrowded beach, and just a little farther to the village. This place felt very homey and comfortable. Would come back!

You are guaranteed a warm welcome from Amy and Ken, who have extensively remodelled this charming small hotel located steps from Playa Dominical. They are always ready to help and provide impartial information on Dominical, the surrounding area and trips further afield, as well as make any reservations you may need. Their enthusiasm and friendliness make this a true home from home.

Would return in a heartbeat - in fact already have!

A gem

This is a great spot located really close to the beach that is quiet and relaxing after a busy day in dominical. We loved coming back to our fan cabin and sitting on our porch and in the hammock to get out of the sun for a while. Amy was wonderful and helped us set up a rapelling adventure to go on and seemed to have endless suggestions and advice for us which was much appreciated. Coffee and breakfast in the morning was great as well. Definitely a good spot if you want somewhere calm, quiet, and safe!

We only spent a night at Amy's place and it is a shame.
Her hotel is really beautiful, rooms are perfectly clean and convenient (fan, private bathroom, mattresses were so good...).
You have all necessary commodities near the hotel if you need to such as a laundry, a local restaurant, a bar and of course the ocean. Good spot for surfing by the way.
Amy and her husband are available to provide you information related to Dominical and there are also very nice.
We recommend +++ this place.
