Arrived after a days driving and found the room comfortable, air conditioned, and many cute little details that gave it character. The pool was the perfect temperature, and we didn't even have to get out to order drinks. Free coffee in the morning was also appreciated. Would definitely stay again.

My husband and I enjoyed Rio Lindo so much. Friendly staff, great room with the most comfortably beds and pillows. The BBQ Ribs are delicious and the best Pizza in Dominical. The pool and the bar was awesome.

It was highly recommended, but after our stay we regretted staying there.

The facility manager was rude and would not address is directly even though we all spoke english.

The restaurant waitress took us to our room and let us get situated before paying for the room. In doing so I checked out the bed and the linens had a sticky film to them and a musty smell. The pillows smelled of dirty head sweat. The room itself didn't have curtains on the window facing the main road.

When we went back to pay we were given one price then it was raised bc we used an online booking site. At that time I asked for clean sheets and through the waitress the manager told her in a rude tone that she didn't have clean sheets and that we could move to next room.

I checked out the other room and initially it looked and smelled a bit better. But once we were in there we regretted staying at this place altogether.

The pillows and bedding had a bad smell. There was no toilet paper and the shower and sink were full of other people's hair.

The room was dusty and it looked like there walls were moldy and were painted over with a light coat of paint that you could see through.

We were so exhausted from our long drive we decided to stay but slept on towels and used more towels as blankets. The room was full of mosquitos that we slept in sweatshirts.

Over all a terrible experience during our entire trip in Costa Rica.

We stayed for 2 days at Rio Lindo in January after a torturous journey involving Blizzards, Planes Trains and Automobiles. 48 hours on the road from new England brought us back to our adopted home in Dominical. We found a rental house that accommodated most of our dates but we needed 2 day before and 2 days after the rental! I thought that might be problematic or that we would get screwed for $$ because we were vulnerable and it was high season. NOT SO! The new owner Jo made us feel like old friends and we crashed! The rates were reasonable, the room was all we could hope for with a great shower, A/C and the pool bar and the awesome food. The crowd at the bar was unloving and welcoming and we had common ground and stories to tell with everyone. I don't even drink alcohol and I fit right in. There was entertainment and a pool table, GREAT PIZZA and SUPERLATIVE SMOKED RIBS--OMG!
Over two weeks we were in and out several times, despite staying in a rental house, just for the fun of it!

Strongly recommend this Hotel! Even just for the food!

Room tip: Tell Jo what you need!

Four of us had driven to Uvita from Quepos in the morning only to find that accommodations there were somewhat lacking. A Tico from Quepos had earlier mentioned that he enjoyed Domincal so we decided to backtrack & were not disappointed. We pulled off the highway, took a brief drive through the town then pulled into the Rio Lindo parking lot. Very happily surprised by what we found. The rooms were large, had great balconies with hammocks, very nicely landscaped grounds, large bar area & swimming pool. That day it was full of entertaining expats with a good live band. Jo (the owner), went out of her way to take care of us & make us comfortable. Situated along the beautiful Rio Baru there are a handful of good restaurants & food markets all within two blocks & a trail down to the beach. A nice discovery at the end of a long day.
