We spent five nights here and had a wonderful time. A fun adventure just to to get to the lodge. Flew in from San Jose on Nature air, took a taxi (Land Cruiser) over dirt roads, through a river; arrived at the beach for our boat ride to La Paloma. Stayed in Rancho #2 that was clean, well maintained with good beds. Had views of the ocean, jungle, and wildlife that included a sloth, monkeys and a Toucan. Meals were served family style and were delicious.
Activities included kayaking up the river, a jungle hike in Corcavado Park, diving on Cano Island, a mangrove tour and a night walk with Tracy the bug chick. We had a great time and saw lots of wildlife. Crocodiles, Cayman, Two Toed and Three Toed sloths, Stick Bird, Macaws, four types of monkeys, Boa Constrictors and the list goes on...
The staff at La Paloma is fantastic.More
