“Package deal was near perfect!”

I booked the hotel/train/rim package through AAA and it was seamless. The hotel was very comfortable with an excellent restaurant on the premises. I especially liked the fact that luggage was handled for us the whole trip. When we returned from the canyon, our room was already booked and out luggage was already in the room when we arrived at the hotel! You can't beat that! Wonderful trip.

We stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights. Our deluxe size room upstairs came with comfy beds and the room was clean and spacious! A hot shower with great water pressure every night was soo nice!

Had breakfast and dinner every day. Food is just like any other basic restaurant quality - good and fulfilling.

The best part about this wonderful hotel is the great staff there and how fun is it to have everything right at your doorstep! Food, entertainment, train ride, short walk into town! It was one of the best of times for us there! We loved our stay and seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time was AMAZING!!!!!

As soon as we walked into the beautiful lobby we felt at home in this hotel, even sat by the fire and had a beer in the leather chairs after we checked in. It's a sprawling property, with a courtyard in the middle that one can walk through as a "shortcut" to get to the lobby from some of the farther ground-floor rooms. Our room was clean and comfortable. I had noticed many "green" awards to the hotel in the lobby, and one proof of this was the shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers in the shower, rather than the individual little bottles of same one typically finds. The room didn't have fridge or microwave, which was disappointing, but it did have an in-room coffee maker. The town of Williams is easy walking distance from the hotel, and we had a lovely supper at the Pine Country Restaurant - simple food in a quaint atmosphere at decent prices - perfect. We didn't take the train to Grand Canyon because we had rented an SUV in Phoenix and preferred to have the flexibility to visit the canyon (an hour trip north) and return to the hotel as we wished.

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms are closer to the indoor pool.

Stayed here overnight before riding the train to the Grand Canyon. Room was very clean and comfortable. Within walking distance of charming shops on Route 66. Plenty of free parking. Great experience!

Beautiful decor and friendly staff - plus proximity to the train - made it worth while, as we didn't realize we had so many other hotel options (probably less expensive) in Williams. Room was average but very clean. We enjoyed watching the train arrive in the afternoon, wandering the grounds and the close walk to town. Gift shop staff and hotel staff were all very friendly. Service in the hotel pub was very slow - only two staff working in the crowded bar, trying to serve drinks and food, which was overpriced and not worth it.

We had a company sales meeting at this hotel and it was a great experience. The best thing about this place is the staff. Every contact with a staff member was a pleasant one. They really went out of the way to make you feel at home. The room was very comfortable and clean, with fairly typical desk, a couple of chairs and two queen beds. The meeting room was okay, as they were not really set up for presentations (screens or projectors). The food in the bar was pretty good, but a major downside was that the bar closed at 10:00, whether there were 2 or 50 people in there. Breakfasts were awesome, with a wide range of choices from cood-to-order omelettes to pancakes, or fruit, cereal, etc. We also took the train up to the north rim of the canyon and that was a fantastic experience. Again, the staff made it exceptional.

Hotel is clean and is well run. The rooms were a little over priced in my opinion. The hotel was ranked a 3 diamond by AAA but I feel like it is more of a 2 diamond. I guess the hotel justifies the price because of the convenience of being able to book the railroad ticket and room together.
