Description: Twisters is a Route 66 original building built in 1926. The original Texaco gas station has been converted into Twisters garage bar. Our bar carries 17 beers, and 3 wines on tap, some of Arizona's best local brews. The restaurant serves some of the best steaks in Northern Arizona along with great 50's food. Hours: 11am-9pm Monday - Saturday 11am - 4pm Sunday

We always come here for ice cream when in Williams. We have not had "food" here so can't rate that but the ice cream is yummy. Hubby loves the hot fudge sundaes and I usually have a shake or just a scoop of ice cream. Quite a few flavors to choose from and we leave satisfied. There is a bar connected with the restaurant in the other side. A fun Route 66 theme runs throughout the diner.

Servers were friendly and........
We will come back again.

Williams is a tourist town, typically overpriced with quality running the scale from great to poor. The pricing here is typical of the town, but I tried the catfish, and it was very good. This is a state that is hard to find catfish. The menu is limited, yet at the same time, it has things that are unexpected, like the catfish, and the fried zucchini, and the bison burger. I plan to go back and try that. It is also filled with 66 memorabilia. Looks like a 50's soda shop. If you are going to eat in Williams, this is a good place to stop.

Needed to find a place for lunch. I thought it was a bit pricey. The food was ok and the service was good.

This is an interesting place. I missed it on prior trips because the outside is not painted brightly and looks a bit aged. Go past that and go inside and you will see a bright, 50's style diner/ice cream/soda fountain, gift shop, and bar past the shop. All the tables and chairs are Coca-Cola with some old kids toys hanging from the ceiling. The menu is pretty straightforward with burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, and lots of milkshakes, sodas, flavorings, etc. I had a La Bamba (cheeseburger with grilled green chile), shoestring fries, and a cherry phosphate. The burger is a frozen patty and is therefore just a burger and nothing magic, but the meal was pretty good overall. It was also interesting in that it had a full bar available to the diner without having to go into the bar. The price was much better than the other places selling burgers down the street for much more money. Good mix of tourists and locals. Friendly servers. Just wish I could have come back later for a shake as they looked really good (with maybe a shot of something in it).
