Bill Williams was killed by Indians. There is a monument to the SS Arizona that was sunk in Pearl Harbor. Very well done.

Bill Williams story is very interesting and his monument set in this small park is not in a prominent position. It needs more recognition than to set at the edge of town between two large roads.

Interesting to visit this little island in the road "park" which honors Bill Williams and their veterans. It's a shame it isn't at the entry of town instead of where it is so that more people could enjoy it.

This area is a nice spot right on the edge of town that you can easily pull off from old route 66. There are plenty of trees for shade and picnic tables to sit and enjoy a quick meal. There are a few plaques with interesting information in this small park dedicated to local war heroes and Bill Williams, who the town is named after. Worth a quick stop to stretch your legs and take a quick break after a long drive on I 40.
