The hotel was the only hotel we saw on the long road round this man made lake; it can best be described as rustic, but charming.
Check-in was non existent, the receptionist simply ticked us off her sheet. She showed us to our room and explained the way things work here. The room was basic, and fine for a night. But don’t expect Wi-fi to work well, there's no air con, a fridge or stuff like that. The walls are paper thin.
Dinner was taken on the veranda, with its panoramic view. This is the motel’s crowning glory...apparently there is no better view of the lake. By rights you should pay a kings ransom for this vista, but you chose a €20 or €30 3 course dinner. I had fish for starters and mains, it was nothing fancy, rather ordinary really, but it was fine.
Prices are reasonable for the location, there aren’t many accommodation choices in the area, but this place is quirky and worth a visit.More
