This is a lovely hotel.... Beautiful room, 253, Nice view of the garden and part golf course!

Food in bar was delicious, breakfast was good. Plenty of choice, Hot buffet, fruits, yougurts, danish, croissants, cheeses, ham, juices etc... As much as you want!!

Sadly I did not get to use the pool as I was very sick during my weekend stay...

I would go back again! Staff were very nice, professional, helpful. Laura on reception really went out of her way to assist my boyfriend and I as I was sick so she organised dinner to our room so I did not have to leave! Very thoughtful, I certainly won't let it go unnoticed!

Room Tip: We had room 253, Which we thought was lovely! Just above main door, with a view of the gardens

This location is not so easy to find and is about 20 minutes from the airport. In all fairness, we (3 friends) made this our last evening after two weeks in the Republic of Ireland. The rooms were clean, pillows were horrible, food great, service great except for the early morning desk clerk, fitness center great, but weird hours, and enjoyed the Irish music.

Three women struggling to take luggage downstairs and the clerk looked at us and never asked if he could get somebody to help us. We accomplished the task and just wanted to get to the airport to head home.

Out of the 6 places we stayed during this trip only two places we would not return and this is #1.

Location, location, location!

Everything is excellent except the location, that is if your not a mad golfer:) the rooms and cleaniness is really good ! The food is excellent ! If it was a little nearer to swords it would be perfect. The taxis to swords are 10-13 euros a go so it can get expensive. Walking is a option but dangerous as no paths on the sides of the road, but if willing its 1 hr 10 mins walk... Be warned if going to ireland everything is expensive.. Pints of cider or lager 5+ euros and eating out is 50euros plus.. Even sandwiches are 4+ euros but apart from that lovely views and very friendly hotel :)

Really enjoyed my stay. Very friendly staff. Food in the restaurant was top class. Breakfast was excellent. This is a great spot for a night away. Couldn't find fault with any aspect of our stay. I'd return for sure!

Have just returned from a 2 day golfing break to Roganstown. We had 24 golfers playing a Ryder Cup format, on Friday and Saturday. The Hotel, staff, and golf course were all fantastic. We had 8 golfers who are just starting out and the course was perfect for them, also challenging to the more abled golfer. The hotel staff were fantastic, and the food was great. The leisure complex and pool were excellant and again staff more than polite. We purchased some prizes for the golf and the lady in the pro shop was kind enough to give us discount. Roganstown was only 1 hour from home so was perfect for the trip. I would highly reccommend Roganstown and we look forward to returning next year.

Room Tip: Perfect location and easy access to all facilities.

We arrived late afternoon checked in quickly, had a bar snack and then headed for the pool, sauna and jacuzzi. The friendly efficient staff made us welcome nothing was too much trouble. The bedrooms are large and well equipped but the TV needs some upgrading. The breakfasts were excellent and so to was dinner in the restaurant. The golf course has excellent greens although challenging from the white markers and is also forgiving in that stray shots are usually found. Our wives were so impressed that a return to Roganstown is on the cards.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Welcome was professional and courteous. Bedroom furniture was tired, frayed curtains, small rips on the base of the bed, burn mark on one of the tables The bathroom was missing a shower curtain. This was replaced almost immediately when reception was notified. However, the bathroom needs modernisation - the shower was but a trickle! There was no issue with cleanliness and we had a very nice view of the golf course from our room. The entire hotel needs to be dragged into the 21st century from the frayed and worn 80's carpets throughout to the worn and jaded furniture. There is a difference between old world charm and old world drab, and this hotel falls into the latter category. The overall appearance was dull. Choices were poor at the buffet breakfast and the cooked breakfast was cold with undercooked sausages. When I was asked if everything was o.k I told the waiter I was not happy with the food, and he walked away! When we were leaving the dining room He mumbled "sorry about the food o.k". We were not impressed, this certainly was not 4* service and not worth the €10 charge per person for breakfast. We struggled to understand the 4* rating. On a lighter note, we were impressed by the service in the bar and reception which was professional and super efficient. Bar food was just o.k.
