“A delightful hotel in a lovely town”
Reviewed 20 October 2011

This is a small family-run hotel and we were very happy with our visit. The owners were very friendly and took an interest in what we were doing and were very patient with our limited Spanish. The owner was very helpful in finding us a car park and also in enabling us to use the internet.
The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very pleasant with fresh fruit , cold meats and cheese ,toast, jam, coffee, tea etc.
The hotel is on a side street leading down from one of the main squares where there are lots of bars serving free tapas with each drink. The town is delightful and very friendly and, on two days, we walked out directly into the mountains.

This family run hotel is one of the best i've stayed in for cleanliness, friendliness and location.
The owner,Pedro, couldn't have been more helpful. He arranged taxis, organised the parking, served a superb breakfast and supplied us with a hugh packed lunch. His daughter Mercedes keeps the rooms spotlessly clean. They have been refurbished to a very high standard with large walk in showers and ample hot water.
The hotel is located in a quiet side street in the centre of Cazorla. You are minutes away from little plazas where you can sit with a coffee or dine out under the stars and immerse yourself in the real Spain. Two restaurants to recommend : Leandro, off Santa Maria Square. A lovely menu del noche - 3 unusual courses including homemade bread and a drink for €12.
Also Rincon de la Victoria in Santa Maria Square : the owner Eduardo, serves the most unusual and delicious tapas. Be warned, in addition to what you order, you will also get a tapa served free with every beer you order!
Cazorla is a beautiful, friendly town set in stunning countryside.....and that's before you get to the National Parque!
I would recommend this hotel and town to anyone who wants to see Spain at it's best.

Staff could not be more helpful, short walk into centre of Cazorla, couldn't have asked for more. Excellent value for money.

Cazorla is a great place from which to explore the beautiful Sierra de Cazorla Natural Park. You could of course stay (usually rather expensively) in the park, but much better in my opintion to stay in the delightful town itself with its excellent restaurants and sightseeing. The Hotel Guadalquivir would be an excellent choice - central, but located in a quiet side-street. The staff are delightful, the hotel is clean and comfortable, and it's fabulous value for money.

This small 2 star hotel in Cazorla a town very well place to hike from. We stayed in Oct with warm blue skies and wonderful no stressful hiking on an Explore tour. The hotel is spotlessly clean if unexciting. Rooms have no view but it is on a traffic free steep street. The staff are quite friendly and granted requests for extra blankets ect it is cold in the mountains at night. The room and bethroom were just spotless marble and very well serviced every day, family run on the premises.
