We once again had a super meal. The flavours were excellent. Quail lovely. The chips have got to be the best ever tasted . Plum Clafoutis to die for and the cinnamon ice cream delicious. Lovely staff who have good skills. A little friendly knowledge of the food would be great .

Picky bits now:
1. Apart from us, we heard every other table being told it was Game Week and here are the specials we have.
2. There must be a way of saying to people: Yes we have a table for 4 and would you be willing to share . We saw people being turned away whilst two tables for four were empty for the 2 hours we spent there.

We feel sorry for those who are sent away as they are missing a big treat.

Thank LJP56

The food was as lovely as the last time we came. We were sat to the far end of the pub so didn't have the theatre of the kitchen this time but the food, service and friendliness of the staff was great. Dishes we had were superb.
It's not on tripadvisor yet but Tom Kerridges new pub, Butchers Tap is also great. We enjoyed Saturday evening there ( apparently it had only opened the day before) then went back on Sunday to watch football. The bar staff accommodated us & were the friendliest set of people with professionalism to ensure the service was of a high standard. They offer just a couple of bites to eat which I think differs daily. I had a hot dog (obviously not a normal one) which was gorgeous & my husband had a Yorkshire pudding stuffed with pulled pork, which he also enjoyed. The bar is also a butchers until 5 pm and there is meat hanging in the widows, so very quirky. Seating is quite tight but even though a lot of people popped in to see the new place, it never felt overcrowded We had a great time in Marlow once again & even saw Tom which was an added bonus, what a lovely man.

We were staying in Henley and dropped in on our way home for breakfast! Great welcome when we arrived and for a Monday morning fairly busy. Open plan kitchen from the bar, great bar seating and would love to come back for dinner. The breakfast was superb, the eggs Benedict - best poached eggs I've ever had and bacon that was to die for. Great value for superb food.

I visited The Coach with three friends for dinner during a weekend in Marlow to celebrate my friends birthday. We arrived at the Coach at 6 and were advised there would be a 45 min wait for a table. We took a seat in the small waiting area at the rear of the un. We did not have to wait that long before we were given a perfect booth table in the window. Half our group are veggie and there were so many options for us all to try and share. I particularly loved the crispy pigs head, which was sublime. The risotto and the beetroot dishes were amazing and it goes without saying the chips were beautiful. Even thought it was a busy Saturday night we were never pressured to eat quickly or leave. The meal was incredibly reasonably for standard of be food. Would come back to stay in Marlow again just to bring my husband to eat at The Coach.
