Beautiful Stay

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Sep 5, 2024
My Husband and I stayed in an Orchard Cabin for his birthday in August.

Congham Hall looks so beautiful as you arrive and its so close to be able to visit the Norfolk coastline with all it's individual towns easily by car.

The Team at the hotel are so welcoming and friendly and when we were shown to our Orchard Cabin we were wowed! So spacious and felt luxurious with beautiful views over the orchard and high quality furnishings. Loved the outside bath tub with the heater above.

We started our stay with a trip to the spa and both had The Secret Garden Spa Ritual treatments which were 2 hours of bliss! Serena and Shona made us both feel so relaxed and pampered. We just felt like melting into the giant bed in our cabin after but we got dressed and went for dinner. As the evening was warm we were able to sit outside for drinks first before enjoying a superb quality meal. We both slept well and enjoyed breakfast which is served to your table which we enjoyed rather than a buffet. Nice touch with a birthday card and seeds for my Husbands birthday on our table. My Husband then enjoyed a hot stone massage while I enjoyed the spa area and outside hot tub.

We were sorry to leave and hope to revisit soon. Thank you.

We visited yesterday to enjoy an afternoon tea which was a gift given to us by our daughter and son in law.
Everything was truly splendid, the food was amazing, the sandwiches, scones, cakes etc were bursting with flavour. Everything was presented perfectly. We thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. Thank you.

We stayed in one of their cabins for two nights DBB. I just cant fault it. Our room/cabin was great. Everything in the room and terrace was just perfect. This is the best country house we have stayed at. We used the outside bath both days, they even have a heater above the bath to keep you warm. I used the spa perfect. My wife is dairy intolerant. The gave us a table that only had butter for me and Margarine for my wife. The staff all knew of her special requirements. The pre dinner drinks were great and not too expensive. Food was excellent, dinner, good choice . Breakfast not a buffet but all individually cooked. All the staff local and so nice and pleasant.
This was our second stay, we will be back next year. We visited Horton House and Sandringham.

There are some great courses in this part of England. We played Woodhall spa on the first morning then drove 90 minutes to stay here. Played Hunstanton and Royal Norwich each of the next two days. In between we got to enjoy this lovely property. We stayed in one of the five cabins, which were roomy and very comfortable. They are doing a lot of things right at this spot….fridge with milk for morning coffee, binoculars and birding books in rooms, nice in room supplies. There’s a smallish but quality spa with an indoor pool, outdoor hot tub and steam and saunas; all facing a lovely pasture. I had a 90 minute massage with Lena that was outstanding. The restaurant is top notch and i’ve a separate review on that (call The Samphire) where they use local produce, some grown in their kitchen garden. A perfect place to come home to relax after playing 18.

Lovely hotel, we have stayed here many times. Food delicious as always and staff polite. My husband and I had a treatment in the spa for the first time which was lovely. Have always stayed in stunning rooms, this time was an exception which was slightly disappointing. We were given Woodsage, which had a patio area which was lovely. However, there were dog hairs on the carpet and dog nose marks over the inside of the patio doors. I did tell reception on leaving. The room was quite tired needing paintwork touch ups and some of the bathroom fittings had limescale on. All in all, had a lovely stay, but this particular room does need attention which is a shame.

Amazing place, food was out of this world, in a lovely country setting, clean and tidy, spa was beautiful so was our treatment full body massage. Staff so friendly and felt like we was treated like a king and queen . Nothing was too much, rooms clean and spacious.
only small thing is children should have own swimming section and not in the spa area. But would definitely recommend. Also dogs allowed. X
