A great beach to go with your furry pal.....There can be a lot of dogs running around as you don't need to keep them on the lead, but if you are ok with that then there are no problems.

When the tide is out you can walk for miles from Daymer to the Rock, from there you can get the ferry over to Padstow - it runs every 15/30 minutes and well worth parking up to go over rather than trying to park in Padstow itself.

Its a really clean beach and plenty of room to run around - the sea is really gently but be careful as on the shore line can drop a fair bit and can take you a little by surprise. Also the pools left on the beach can be deceptively deep, so take care.

There is a decent little cafe and toilet facilities. If you are on Daymer side, watch for the tide coming in.... to get to the rock, you will need to go over the hill as the tide will cut the two beaches up.

Some parts can be a little rocky, you will need flip flops or sandals as it is a bit tough on the feet.

Well worth a visit, the scenery is stunning and plenty of room for everyone.

Wanted to pay a quick visit...
After narrow roads to reach this bay we were disappointed that after 3pm we'd have to pay £5 the fixed day rate for the car park. Only want to stay for 15 minutes to let the dogs run on a sandy beach so didn't bother. As no where to park other than the car park left, shame as the beach did look good. Lots of surfers were there.

Popular with locals and some from further if they are up for the drive. Big wide flat safe with a great view. Not too posh, although that world is not far upstream and nor really suitable if you are an actual of wannabe surfer, although there’s plenty of that a few minutes drive away. Can’t dispute the two recurrent gripes, the ghastly condition of the lavatories and the failure to control or prohibit dog fouling. It would be a pity to stop folk bringing their dogs and it’s disappointing that people who seek out a lovely beach like this and can’t miss the large numbers of young children, don’t behave responsibly and always clear up without fail.

But if you are in the area and want a safe pleasant beach, make sure you check out Daymer Bay.

The thing I love about Daymer is it’s not one of the better known beaches to tourists so it’s never mega busy the several times I’ve been at various times of the year. There is a lovely cafe/shop and parking was a good price. The shop also sells beach accessories and at reasonable prices.

Great beach for walking your dog. Car parking available and café and ice cream available in the car park area. Toilets also on site. You can walk to Rock beach from this point and with the tide out the beach is about 300 mtrs deep. Great for early evening BBQ's.
