My other half and I visited for lunch. We both had soup which was really very good and followed with a piece of cake. The staff were very nice and the cafe was nicely decorated. Well worth a visit if only for coffee and cake!

I really liked my lunch here, and the staff were lovely. The large window faces onto Dartmoor, but it's blocked by the restaurant's shelves and by parked cars outside. So you sit and eat your food in front of a large screen watching ever changing pictures of Dartmoor on the telly. Ironic or what?

I've been heading up onto the moor all my life and only just found this delightful bakery after taking my son to the park close by.

We decided to try one of their chorizo swirls, a bounty swirl for afters, and a flapjack for the little one. All three were truly delicious. I can honestly say this was some of the best-tasting food I've found in a while. The chorizo swirl had a good kick of spice, whilst the bounty swirl was simply divine. I bore the misses' ears off rabbiting on about how good they all tasted on the drive home.

Location wise, a perfect little spot. Right on the Drake cycle trail for those passing through; opposite the old RAF Harrowbeer (crapstone) for those on a quick visit to Dartmoor and close to a fantastic kids park (parking free if you just park on the moor and walk down the path). So easy to pick up a bite to eat before your wander, or whilst taking the kids off to play.

Price wise, a little more expensive than from a chain bakery e.g. Warren's, but the quality is far superior, so worth the extra.

Staff were super friendly, coming round the counter to do we could select the exact items.

They also accept payment by card; very convenient!
