“A shuttle bus ride to Stiperstones”
Review of The Long Mynd

Stiperstones is a well know landmark very close to the Longmynd, in Shropshire. During summer months the Shropshire Hills Shuttle Buses operate a frequent service and I used this to the landmark and walked back towards Carding Mill car park, to pick up the car.
My route took me through farmland and lovely scenery back to the Bridges pub, nestling by the river East Onny, approximately halfway between Stiperstones and Carding Mill. The Pub offers a much deserved rest and refreshment and very helpful staff on hand.

This makes for a great day out.

A beautiful location for walkers of all ages and abilities. The long mynd parking area in Church Stretton was excellent for children to play and for walking dogs. The paths were well marked and easy to follow. We had a great time and the dog absolutely loved it. Recommended to all.

Had a lovely day out walking the Long Mynd. Last time we did it in March it was snowing and below freezing temperatures. Today it was almost 30 degrees - what a contrast.
Lots of people and cars at the Carding Mill carpark so we parked near the school and walked from there.
It's lovely at the top once you get past the rocky steep paths. Lots of routes to choose from so you can get lost. Have a map and compass handy. The colours are amazing with different heathers.
It is also possible to drive to the top if you're not able to walk but the roads are narrow and steep.

It's worth walking about for some great scenery. There are some parking spaces on the top if you fancy just driving up for the views.
