Good hearty food, comforting setting in winter with open fires and a very wide beer selection. Reasonable cost.
Don’t expect gourmet but do expect good home made grub and well looked after ale

It was late afternoon and we had tried another pub first but they couldn't accommodate us because they had a coach party arriving!!!
We ordered two "meat boards" and two "fish boards" and a round of drinks.
The staff were nice, the food was nice and the beer was nice.
All in all it was nice, not spectacular but the service was quick and most importantly they welcomed us after the lunchtime in most other pubs had expired!
Worth a visit.

One night stay in Lacock and the Red Lion didn’t disappoint. We stayed in the Talbot room which was spacious clean and comfortable. Evening roast lamb dinner was delicious and salted caramel ice cream to die for!! Breakfast was really good too. Whole experience enhanced by hospitable and friendly staff. Definitely recommended for first or any time visit to Lacock village.

Beautiful pub with friendly staff. Party of eight, seven adults, one toddler. Disappointing choice and over priced. Best Buy was the toddlers fish fingers and the small plate fish and chips. Two had ham egg and chips, not enough ham to make a sandwich out of, and not enough chips for £12.50 each! One egg very under cooked and when returned, came back with no yoke left 1st and last visit.

We went as a family of four and were welcome to sit in the garden to the rear of the pub. The staff were excellent and went the extra mile. I bought drinks and snacks from the bar and the barman without me asking took our drinks out to our table for me. It made an excellent finish to our day out. We will definitely visit again.
