The Dunes is in a lovely elevated position overlooking the estuary in Gwbert. It is surrounded by a large grassed area with resident rabbits - great to watch in the evening.
The accommodation though quirky is basic and could do with some updating. There is a tiny TV which was difficult to watch - not worth having really. Unfortunately the washing machine was not working during our time there which was difficult as we didn't pack so many items of clothing knowing we could do washing. We were kindly given the names of some launderettes we could use by the agency - but I don't go on holiday to sit in a launderette for an afternoon! We had no communication with the owner - name unknown- at any time which I found unusual.
The weather during our time there was lovely so we were out every day and didn't spend much time in the property. However if the weather had been less clement I don't think the Dunes is particularly comfortable for long stays indoors.
Location was as stated, brilliant to watch wild life and loads to see and do.
Could been cleaner, was dusty and sinks and bath grubby, tiles covered in mildew.
nothing stated when booking regarding electricity used, people need to be prepared that they have a bill to pay at end of stay,
