Had a fantastic meal at the Bistro Bermo in Barmouth last night. Everything was cooked to perfection from the Steak to the vegetables and the Steak Diane sauce was excellent. Not had such a good Quality meal, fresh, homemade and full of flavour for years. Truly perfect and exceptional. A brilliant Chef. Husband had the beef wellington and I had the Fillet Steak for mains. The service was also great. Thank you 😊

Amazing food ! Everything was freshly made and presented well. The staff were very accommodating to my gluten and dairy allergies. They adapted dishes so that I could eat them. They even had gluten fee bread and dairy free butter !! I would definitely go back.

We ate here twice during our week's stay in Barmouth and couldn't fault it. Across our two visits we had lobster, sea bass, monk fish and rack of lamb. All were excellent. All the staff we encountered were extremely helpful and informative about the dishes. We made our bookings by phone and were made very welcome on both occasions.
The restaurant is small, seating 14, and has two sittings, so do book early if you decide to visit.

Lovely, friendly, small and informal restaurant serving outstanding food at a reasonable price. My partners favourite was the sea bass, mine was the heavenly chocolate cheesecake with ice-cream; so good!

Arrived on a windy rainy evening, after travelling some distance.
My partner Sue had booked the previous evening, for a 6 p.m table. We arrived at 5.55 p.m. to a full crowded room.
We gave the lady front of house our details and she said oh yes Sue. She then asked the couple on the nearest table to us what time they had booked for. I think his name was Dan and he had obviously just arrived because he like us had just arrived out of the rain. He said 6.p.m and stated he had a email confirming his booking.
Which is completely fair. The front of house then turned round to Sue and said I am sorry I have made a cock up ( her exact words ) which left us with no option but to go out in the rain again.
I urge anyone foolish enough to book this establishment, to get it confirmed by email or text.
On entering the room we could see that it was extremely tight seating, barely room to move around.
I have had to give one star to get this published, otherwise it would be zero.
