Straightforward, honest value for money hotel. Room clean and good size. Plenty of hot water which comes through without delay. Breakfast is continental with selection of cakes - simple, no frills. Pool with sauna was an unexpected bonus.

Just ok hotel. Rooms are very noisy, all the sounds from the lobby and hallway reach loudy to the room. Breakfast was nice, many sweet options. Pool is nice, not very big though. There wasn't towels in the room which was a bit of a minus, you can get it from the reception by asking but still, it would have been nice if it were ready in the room.

We rented a small apartment here for New Years Eve. The only things good were the nice front desk person who worked hard to fix our natural gas leak, and the fact that it was well located at the trailhead leading to Madre y Hija and other magnificent hiking. If at all possible, stay somewhere else. Here's why...

Online pictures and descriptions are completely misleading. We knew this would be somewhat simple, but this was ridiculous. You enter the room into the kitchen/bunk bed room. The "kitchen" had drawers with no bottoms! The sponge hadn't been changed in weeks. There were hardly any utensils or dishes. There was just one knife. The fridge is a bar fridge. But, worst of all, our entire place smelled like natural gas because of a leak -- just feet from the kids' beds! There was no other room to give us, and we nearly had to sleep in the car. We wasted a full afternoon trying to get this fixed (and trying in vain to find other accommodation) and finally the owner came and found the leak was in the oven. So scary. We had to keep all of our gas off other than the moments that we were cooking, which meant no heat. We received no compensation for this.

The bathroom faucet ran continually -- it was impossible to shut it off. Not just a drip, mind you, but a constant running. The shower and bathroom were not very clean.

The workout room was hilarious. Old, broken down and completely dusty gear as if in an abandoned building. The breakfast was ok but not substantial. A tour group had set up there on bountiful breakfast buffet alongside the hotel provisions and the tour operator rudely barked at my teenage daughter when she took a piece of fruit, thinking it was the hotel's. We were initially charged an unbelievable fee for the breakfast -- around $15 each -- before we heartily complained and they took the fee off because this was one of the things promised in our reservation.

We are not luxury travelers, so are used to a little roughing it. But for the money, this was a frustrating experience.

Overall room and bathroom are very comfy and clean, though a little old. Staff is helpful and friendly. Breakfast has many options and is good. Hotel has a quirky decor, but it didnt bother me. Location is great.

Decent hotel, we had a normal size room at the front of the hotel of the first floor.
Bathroom was also of good size. Kept clean good.
Staff friendly and helpfull.
With a little group we also had once dinner here which was very nice and some drinks afterwards.
Breakfast was good with enough to choose.
Didn't use the pool.
Location was very well for our two hikes we did while in El Chalten (Laguna Torre and Laguna de los tres (Fitz Roy))
