We used to stay here often but there are better hotels in the town and have been trying them out. It is now a tired looking hotel where nothing has been up-graded for years. Free wi-fi in lobby. Pricey when compared with what is available in the town. Breakfast is slow and very basic and not included in the price.

The only thing that's good about this hotel is the location: centrally located across the post office.

The building looks ok from the outside but once inside it's a huge disappointment...

Throughout the whole hotel fluorescent TL lamps are used, but not enough lamps are used and they spread a yellow-greenish light so I constantly felt like walking in a sci-fi scene.

The rooms are very big and contain an ice box, desk, chair and bed (with clean linnen), carpet is really worn and dirty so we kept our shoes on.
The bathroom is tiled and has a bath/ shower, wc and sink but all very worn out...
At night we had to turn off the watertap because the toiletflush kept running.
We had a connecting room (rooms are actually connected with 1 door only which do not even close properly) and could hear our neighbour snore !!

With just some small renovations this hotel could be a much nicer place.

The bar attracts locals and tourists but is not really a nice place to sit and enjoy drinks.
The food however in the restaurant is amazing; during our tour never had such a tasty and juicy piece of zebu meat served !!
The dessert was exceptional delicious too and all was was served by smiling, friendly and helpful waiters.

Would suggest to sleep elsewhere and only have dinner at Arotel.
"Residence Camelia" or "Chambre des voyageurs" are much better !
