This was a nice little resort!
We stayed in unit 501, which is a side-by-side duplex cabin. The cabin was spotless - and so were the fridge, microwave, etc. I was impressed with how clean everything was. My only complaint was that there were only blinds on the bedroom patio door - no curtains. It was hard to make sure there were no gaps in the blinds, and they didn't block the sunlight very well.
The lake was nice, and they have complimentary canoes, but it was raining during most of our stay so we didn't get to enjoy the lake.
The county is dry, and so are many of the adjacent counties, so if you want a beer you need to bring it with you! There is a lot to do within an hour of the resort. Bull Shoals Dam and the White River is a great place to go if you like boating or fishing (or drinking, since it isn't dry!).
If you like history, crafts, and a nice drive (particularly on route 9), go to the Ozark Folk Center - definately worth the price of admission! And get there pretty early, because there is a lot to see. We went on a rainy day in the fall, so it wasn't busy and we got to be up close and personal with all of the great volunteer craftsmen at the park.
There is nice hiking availabe at Blanchard...This was a nice little resort!

There is nice hiking availabe at Blanchard Springs, as well as trout fishing. In fact, are spring fed rivers and trout fishing all over the area. Also mountain biking and canoeing.
I would like to go back to northern Arkansas - it is a unique area with a lot of outdoor activities available.More
