We did the 3-day tour with them and was awesome! They were really nice at the agency, the price was at range of the other companies and we were lucky to book the tour for that day (didn't have to stay at Uyuni). Our drive, Felix, were a nice, patient and prudent driver, always cared for our safety (warned us some dos and don'ts), prepared our food all days and tried to solve our questions (made in bad Spanish, portunhol, haha). He always gave us time to take pictures and go to bathroom, or eat.
At lunch of second day he provided 2 eggs out of nowhere for one of our trip members (was vegetarian and cookers forgot to send eggs). At the third day he noticed that i was missing for dinner the night before and asked if everything was alright and if I didn't need oxygen for that day.

To this trip take with you:
Water (lots! At least 2L/day)
Sunblock (to your lips too!)
Sunglasses (only for salt desert)
Clothes for temperatures from -5° to 35°
Serum for your nose
Paper (there's no paper some places)
Money (200 bolivianos or more!)
Tea (coca té)
Soroche pills

Great people who know their business, The boss was one of the first to open in Unuyi and now 15 years on has competition from another 100 operators but this company really knows the territory even if the Toyota 4WD we used is past its best. Anyway he knows that and is slowly replacing his fleet of 12 Land Cruisers with newer models from the US. The toll on these 4WDs is immense and our driver Felix negotiated his way over giant boulders and flooded plains with great skill. Accommodation is very basic but completely OK and super spirit at the hostels. Don’t look for warm showers and menus, this is eat what you get; loads of starch along with fresh or cooked greens - all good stuff to keep you going. This Company is flexible, helpful and drivers respond to any stops you request. Remember to get the atmosphere right in the 4WD, counts for a lot!

The staff were so helpful and friendly!! We had spent a long time deciding which tour to go with and decided on this one because it was good value for money, had lots of positive reviews and went to see everything we wanted. We were not disappointed!! We did the 3 day, 2 night tour. Our driver, Felix, was very friendly even though he spoke no English and we spoke only bits of Spanish, but we managed to get by. Felix was great at taking lots of photos of us on the salt flats (including some with a dinosaur he had stashed away in the jeep). The meals were fantastic! I actually ate better on the tour than when I was on my own! Accomodation was good, basic but clean. Bring a spare battery as the second night there is no where to charge a phone. The only complaint I have about the whole experience was the condition of the jeep. It was very old and whilst it got us where we needed to go, we passed other jeeps in MUCH better condition / newer than ours. So overall I would 100% recommend this company, they were very caring of us and when we mentioned the condition of the jeep at the end of the tour, the owner took us around to all the maintenance garages to show us the upgrades he was doing on the jeeps and new ones he had bought. So just check which jeep you are getting and have an AMAZING time with this tour company!!!

I booked 2 separate tours with Andes Salt Expeditions. The 1 day salt flat tour and the 3d/2n. The guide for the 1 day tour was excellent. He was experienced, friendly and voluntarily took incredible photos for us at the salt flats. However, the overall experience was very negative. 3 girls in our car needed to be at the airport by 7pm and the agency promised them that they would be able to complete the entire tour and make their flight on time. However, the sunset ended at 6:45pm and took at least 30 minutes to get to the airport. So in order for the girls to make their flight, the other 3 passengers in the car had to miss the 1 hour leading up to the sunset, which is the best time for the reflective effect at the salt flats. The agency knew this ahead of time and still made false promises at the expense of other passengers out of greed. Extremely disappointed that I was robbed of the highlight of the experience.

The 3d/2n tour leaves the salt flats in the afternoon so you get much less time at the salt flats and miss the best hours for the reflective effect as well as the sunset. Moreover, our guide was much less experienced, helpful and friendly. The quality of the guides is just really unpredictable.
