Check in, O.K. Get to room... no fridge or minibar. "You must specify when you make your reservation". Never saw any reference to that in the on-line booking.

Staff barely speaks English yet the place promotes itself as an "international" hotel. Good luck finding someone who can understand you and answer questions.. Staff is friendly but beyond that they know nothing except how to bow and smile.

Room: Clean, nice bed but that is about it. Stick furniture made of local hardwood but very basic... no drawers to store your belongings. I have never seen a hotel room where there were no drawers in the furniture. No hand towels, "we don't have those". No desk lamp so you have to turn on all the lights to see anything if you work at night; great for the person who is trying to sleep. Microscopic TV... forget lying in bed and trying to watch it. Restaurant: O.K. with so-so food.

Pretty place but it is barely functional. Look elsewhere if you want a comfortable room and you are used to places that provide the above mentioned amenities.

Room Tip: Stay away from this place if you are looking for a comfortable and FUNCTIONAL room.

Dear Guest,

We thank you very much for staying in our Hotel and we appreciate your comment of our Hotel.

We are sorry that our room facilities in certain type did not meet your expectation, indeed you are probably talking about our Superior Type of Rooms which were designed in simple and minimalist since most of our guests are short stay traveler so we use simple furniture to complete the rooms.

Regarding the minibar and/or fridge, they are available on different types of rooms.

Our deep concern is about the English speaking capability, true that regardless English is not our mother tongue language but in a tourism area English is a must and we will put this as our consideration to improve our staff's English skill not only to all our front liners but towards all staff in our hotel.

Overall we thank you very much for your comment, and we are looking forward to welcoming you back here again in our humble place in Ketapang, Banyuwangi.

Thank you kindly

Nice location close to ferry terminal, very green and well kept hotel grounds and gardens, our room was clean and well maintained, great breakfast and friendly staff, a good overnight stay for us on our way back from Surabaya to Bali, good value for money.

Good hotel close to ferry terminal. It has a large pool, and overlooks the sea. Nice clean and spacious rooms, but rather basic facilities. Quite a large bathroom. Staff were very friendly. Good buffet breakfast and an hour's drive to Ijen. Recommended. Wifi was erratic and hard to get on.

We went to Banyuwangi February this year, and we stayed at Ketapang Indah for two nights. My wife booked the hotel and I did not have any idea how it was going to be. It turned out that this is a somewhat large hotel situated in a relatively vast complex situated near Ketapang Harbour. The location is not far from tourist attractions around Banyuwangi. We went to Ijen Crater, and Baluran National Park, (both approx. 40 km from the hotel)

The hotel was beautifully arranged with beautiful gardens and some children playground and a swimming pool.
On one of its side, there is access to small "beach" (not actual beach we could play on) that faces toward Bali island, which is nice spot for sightseeing around the hotel.
The room we booked was rated around IDR 500.000 (more or less, i forgot), and it was large with three beds, tv with some cable tv stations. It was clean, and nicely arranged. The price included buffet breakfast.
To sum it all up, the hotel was value for money, given its ambience and location.

The room is big enough for 3 adults and 3 kids, I stayed in deluxe room with 1 extra bed. The room is clean, love the bathroom. Love to see the greenary landscape in the middle of banyuwangi (it's quite hot), I can take a walk through the beach from the resort.. Too bad that the sea shore is not too clean..
The breakfast is average.. But overall the place is recommended and surely I will stay here again on my next visit
