The temples at Bagan are a truly amazing place to visit. They rival, if not better Angkor Wat in Cambodia and are very rarely heard of in the "mainstream media". There are thousands (literally) of temples and you could spend days just wandering around them. The views from them are beautiful. Unfortunately the sky was overcast when we were there so we missed what would have been a spectacular sight at sunset. A must see place and one for the "bucket list" along with the Pyramids and Great Wall.

The temples are just so mesmerising. Every corner of this area are beautiful and fotogenic. Don't miss the sunset or sunrise here. Better rent an E-bike and get lost! There will be some locals offering to take you to a good place to see the sunrise or sunset, they will ask you to buy their selling or painting, but you can just avoid or say no politely.
Overall, Bagan definitely would take your breath away!

Win is a great tour guide if you want someone who understands and can can explain culture, art , architecture and all aspects of Bagan and Buddhism. He’s friendly, reliable and probably the best choice for a rewarding experience.

One of the most beautiful landscapes in Myanmar
Thousands of ruins and temples
Thick green all over
It’s a paradise on earth
You should stay 2 to 3 days
Hire a electric bike with will save your travel time
It’s a fun full journey
Very good traditional restaurants all over
Very cheap and good food
Visit all the popular temples and the palace
Also try to have a meal by the river
Many smaller restaurants
And a boat tour
You will love this place
