The pizzas we had- quattro formaggi and one with meat on it (forgot the name) - were good. In fact it was slightly above average. The antipasti we had was excellent - grilled vegetables with pizza bread.
I had the spaghetti mezzanotte which would have been better if the pasta were a bit more fresh. Maybe it was because the pasta was reheated. The risotto porcini was tasty but the consistency was a a little dry. Maybe because they used ordinary rice. Risotto should be made with special rice varieties like arborio and carnoroli.
While it was a bit of disappointment I was glad there are restaurants like Il Gallo Nero trying to excel in Italian cuisine.
