We went here for a late breakfast on a Tuesday. It was quiet. But I imagine it would be very busy at weekends.
It is an old-ish house. Rather late colonial in style. Nicely decorated and furnished throughout, mainly in white. The focus is the terrace and balconies which overlook Lake Taal - the views are sensational. Even on a relatively hazy day.
We had omelettes and beef tapa around the table. Which were all pronounced good. And tea or coffee. The coffee was excellent. Good service.
They also have a small shop which sells their excellent bread and coffee. The raisin bread is recommended.
We chose the Bag of Beans to have dinner on our way home to Manila from lake Taal it was a lovely Sunday evening the place was packed which I always think the food must be good we were not disappointed,we were a party of four adults and to young children ,the menu was was good the food was excellent the service was good there's a great terrace with a great view of the lake and volcano, the inside area is clean and well decorated we would definitely eat their again.
Great place to catch up with friends. Nice ambience. Wide selection of food. The BBQ pork is not to be missed! Bring how a bottle of sours of juice.
If you go here on a weekday, its really good and peaceful... however they dont serve buffets, during this time', i really think the buffet is the food worth going to.. i think the ala carte is really pricey.. the place is nice in terms of ambiance, loved the art,, but as previous reviews state,, it really is crowded during weekends.
