“Clean and Cozy hotel near the airport with very friendly and warm hotel staff”
Reviewed 24 April 2012 via mobile

Hotel is located in a private subdivision very near the airport. The room I stayed, although small compared to 5-star hotels, is very clean and cozy. Hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating, everyone greets you with a smile and makes you feel at home. Breakfast buffet is average - egg station, dried fish, tocino, garlic rice, pancit, cereals, bread. No bacon and pancakes though. Coffee not piping hot so better if you finish your coffee immediately or else you get to drink lukewarm brewed coffee. Will definitely stay in this hotel again and recommend to family and friends.

A good hotel which has recently been refurbished. Rooms are not cheap but you may be able to negotiate a discount. The food in the restaurant is good (the cheesburger was excellent) and for a reasonable corkage fee you can bring your own wine. The pool is across the road and does not seem to be much used. All in all a good choice for a couple of nights in Legaspi.

Was in this hotel recently after a night in Donsol to see the famous Whale Sharks (which we didnt see by the way... conincided on the day there was an earthquake in indonesia).

The hotel itself is located within a residential subdivision which was a bit of a surprise as I thought it would be in a commercial or business district. Didnt know what to expect after our terrible experience in Giddy's in Donsol but once we got there, breathed a sigh of relief as it was what it was for what we were paying for. Clean, ample sized rooms, white sheets- very much like 4 or 5 star hotel rooms should be.

Despite having a list of restos we were wanting to try out, the food left us rooted in the hotel for dinner and lunch . The Linguine aglio olio, tinapa, sun dried tomatoes, chili was delish and perfectly seasoned (had a bite but exactly how i like); the Bicol express was ordered both for dinner and lunch; the unique fern, mango and local pili nut salad was refreshing and hit the right spot after a hot sojourn to Mayon volcano on ATVs(all terrrain vehicles)

I traveled with my family. We got 2 rooms via an online travel agent. It's quite affordable for a technically new and modern hotel situated about 3 minutes from the Legaspi airport. We got the rooms on the first floor, but the rooms are really small. It is really only good for 2 people and is really not meant if you will be bringing a family of four. If you are, then ask for a much bigger room located at the 2nd or 3rd floor of the hotel. We stayed only for 2 nights as our flight to Manila is at 7 a.m. in the morning the next day and I also want my family who are new to the place get to tour Albay. The hotel is far away from the road, but you can ask the hotel to call for a tricycle that can bring you to the town proper.

There are no elevators in this hotel so if you have lots of luggages I suggest that you get a room at the first or second floor.

The food is nice. They offer buffet breakfast. Even if the free meal is only good for 4, we were able to get free breakfasts for 5 people.

The staff were friendly. I wouldn't mind staying at this hotel again.

Room Tip: First floor or second floor rooms should be chosen due to absence of elevators.

I just got back from a 3 Day/2 Night trip to Legazpi City and decided to stay at Hotel Venezia. This place is very modern and fancy looking; most likely in an attempt to cater to western tourists. I was pleasantly surprised to see they were able and willing to change my room assignment for my friend and me from two twins to a king sized room at the last minute and without any fuss whatsoever. The staff were exceedingly polite and helpful in any issue of question I had. The room was very cozy and comfortable.

About the only complaint I had was the restaurant that they host in the hotel - while having good food - is pricey (by Filipino standards, 300 pesos+) and I was not terribly impressed with the options offered. The food was good, and the ambiance was pleasant and relaxing, but I did not think it was worth the price. It seems like they are trying to squeeze as much money as possible out of the tourists as possible.

Also, they are less than 2-3 minutes from the airport and they provided shuttle service for us to the airport. Very nice surprise end for our stay in Legazpi.

All and all, if you're looking for a nice, clean, semi-fancy hotel that does not force you to part with you to part with your 1st world creature comforts, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Our group of eleven was originally booked for one night only at this hotel after our Donsol whale shark experience. However, we booked again for another night after our flight back to Manila was cancelled because of bad weather. No matter - we certainly didn't mind staying another night at this friendly hotel that is minutes away from the airport.

Liked - refreshing welcome drink, friendly staff, hassle-free check-in/check-out, good buffet breakfast, comfortable bed, quiet room. We tried the hotel restaurant for dinner and was not disappointed, although a bit overpriced (but what can you expect when you dine inside hotel?). Resto staff happily agreed to surprise a travelmate with a birthday (cheese)cake, and they didn't complain when we did a Take 2 of the "cake ceremony" in order to properly record it on video. Lastly on the food, their cakes are delicious, and their brownies were really moist & fudgy! As mentioned earlier, proximity to airport is a plus. There is a spa/salon but nobody in the group tried it so we have no comment about that service.

Didn't like - room was very small (maybe 15 sqm) and is cramped for two people in it; bathroom towels needed upgrading (clean but no longer white).

Overall, the hotel was a very good choice for our 2-night stay. Would recommend to others.

Hotel Venezia is a great spot for a night or two while in Legazpi. Excellent service, great breakfast, close to airport. Rooms were nice and seem to have been renovated in recent years. Comfortable beds and flatscreen TVs with good cable selection. Mini bar and air conditioning. Bathroom functioned well (although hot water was warm at best) but could definitely use some modern upgrades.

It's a 2-minute drive from the airport in a free shuttle, but unfortunately it's not close enough to walk to any restaurants or markets. Taxis are cheap, however, and the ride to a nearby restaurant only took 5 minutes.
