In need of a warm shower, soft beds and a little bit of luxury after our travels, A Beach Symphony did not disappoint! From the moment the screen was pulled back from the road and Crystal met us we were in love! The four rooms are all very indiviual and lovingly done with a blend of relaxing indian charm and European detail sprinked by Jan and Crystal. The beds were comfortable, showers both inside and out, tea, coffee and water on tap (no plastic bottles which was lovely). The chef came and took our order for meals daily and was happy to go 'off piste' and counjured up some fabulous gourmet dishes! Other people have commented on the pool which will never be crystal blue as Jan has designed an amazing honed grey granite pool which was fantastic. Jan was working very hard to tone back the green colour but we felt it was clean and refreshing! The star of the show at A Beach Symphony was definatly Dominic who was like having our own private butler - he could not have done enough, was kind, friendly, polite, helpful and even styled us in our Sari's for our final nights dinner..thank you Dominic for making our holiday! Should not forget the amazing tuk tuk driver who chaufered us around and was a delight. Could not recommend this lovely oasis more highly!

We first stayed here in Dec 2016 and loved it, so we immediately rebooked for 5 nights for 2018. Jan arranged our itinerary from picking us up in Fort Kochi to transferring us to the airport at the end of our stay. The transport was good quality and lovely cars. As for the property, this time we stayed in Nagaswaram facing the beach. Last time we were here there had been a fence making the property separate from the public beach. Due to boundary issues, that fence is now gone so the view is clear all the way to front though we didn’t experience any disturbance from the public beach which was far enough away and partly screened with planting. This place has lost nothing of its charm. The owners, management and staff can’t do enough for you. The food and service is wholesome, tasty and well presented. It’s very fresh and portions are generous. The pool area is lovely and where the sea might be too lively for all but the strongest swimmers, the pool is clean and inviting. There are sunloungers and umbrellas and no worries about being too busy as there are no outside guests coming in. We had 3 yoga sessions with Vimal, he is fantastic and we had met him on our previous visit. We left after 5 days feeling really relaxed and energised. Thanks to everyone who made our trip work so well.

Room Tip: Beach front Nagaswaram is more private and the room itself is large.

Before, I start my formal review i would like to complement Jan for this lovely place that he has made with love.

Location; Right on the Marari beach and you can straight walk on the beach. Great view of the sea and you can hear the waves. This beach is also frequented by locals.
Food: Amazing. They offer food of your choice and served on the Verandah. Each meal is unique and different. You can ask them to make what you want.
Service: 7 star. The entire team is dedicated to make you comfortable. Small touch like mobile in every cottage and you can call the service staff is pleasing.
Ammenties and rooms:
Only 4 cottages and each one is unique. Different architecture and made with local things. Traditional luxury .
Swimming Pool is very well maintained and a highlight.
Property also arranges for auto rickshaw ride in nearby village.

Kids Friendly: ( New part of my review). Travelled with my 2 year old soon and he was very comfortable. All his food requirements were easily met and with a smile. He had lots of open area to play.

Value for Money: At INR 15,000 + this property offers top end of luxury in limited numbers. Please go ahead and indulge.

Room Tip: All rooms are different

We loved staying at Beach Symphony and, like many other reviewers, agree that we could have stayed much longer. The property is small and the individual cottages are well-designed and very clean. We stayed in the Violin, which has its own pool and was a real treat, but the main pool is also lovely. The property is just steps to the beach, which was also clean and incredibly beautiful.

The service is very personalized and we really enjoyed the staff. We’ve enjoyed a lot of good food across southern India, and the food here was among the best Kerala food we’ve had.

We decided to stay here and do a half day boat ride on the backwaters, rather than staying on a houseboat for two days. We think we made the right decision and would do it again- we had much more flexibility to do many things in the area and felt 3-4 hours on the canals was enough. Beach Symphony arranged our boat tour and it was perfect.

Highly recommend!

We stayed here for two nights and fell in love with this place! I could have spent a lot more time here...
Everything was perfect! The food, the cottage and especially the staff! Everyone was super helpful and very accommodating!! The sweet gardener brought us fresh coconut water, cheery Arun served every meal with a smile on his face. Every single interaction with the staff here was super positive. The concept is very well thought through. Meals are planned individually, you tip at the end of your stay, you get a cell phone with the numbers of all the key staff saved in it so you can contact them whenever you have a question...

We had breakfast and dinner here and it was a real treat! Really exquisite local food and delicious fresh fish! We asked the Binu and Manu, the cooks, for several recipes and they wrote them down for us so we could try to prepare it at home...

I would gladly stay here again! I really warmly recommend this lovely beach paradise.
