My husband and I felt at home the moment we walked thought the door. An incredibly well kitted out place with generous added extras from Alison like the firewood and an arrival treat!
The flat felt very clean (& I am really fussy!) and warm, was very tastefully newly decorated and was quiet and peaceful. The little cafe and community pub were great to have so close and the walks around the surrounding area meant you didn't even have to get back in your car!
For anyone wanting to explore further, we recommend a drive up the coast with amazing food at Elie's Ship Inn and lots to explore in the many of the villages all the way up to St Andrews. We definitely will book again as a weekend just wasn't enough.
Thank you Alison we will be back!
Alison’s apartment is beautifully and tastefully redecorated with a fantastically well equipped kitchen and comfortable double bedroom. We felt very much at home and appreciated the thoughtful touches - fresh banana bread, fruit and some whiskey! West weymss is a great location to explore Fife’s coastline. The beach and coastal path is 5 mins walk from the apartment. Hope to visit again! Thankyou
We were charmed. Alison is a super host: thoughtful, welcoming, generous and well organized. And the flat is exactly as it is portrayed in the photographs. It is immaculate, comfortable, cosy and equipped with new appliances in perfect working order. We stayed 8 nights and left reluctantly but we plan to visit again soon.
Lovely little place. Nice and bright ground floor flat, cosy at night with the open fire lit. Full of lovely touches by the owner, like a basket of wood and laying the fire ready to be lit, a library of local books, board games, a cake, some sweets and a few drams of whisky in the kitchen! The owner, Alison, even left a kite for my daughter to play with. Very thoughtful. Spotless clean, well decorated. Great location too, West Wemyss is an old village still with a few fishermen in the harbour. Nice and central as well, St Andrews was only 30-40min away. Very peaceful place.
I loved it, reminded me of the many happy holidays of my childhood on the Fife coast. Highly recommended.
