Best crudos ever! Raw meat on toast excellently condimented. Good local beer. A must visit in town. Have a twin in Puerto Varas.

We were going to this restaurant every day during our stay in Coyhaique. It was that good. Great pizzas, delicious tablas, craft beers, tasty mojitos, everything you need in one place.

Mamma Gaucha came up on all research of good place to eat in Coyhaique so expectations were really up there...
I was told by a friend, it usually gets packed early so we were there by 7pm, rather early for Chile but a good time if you don't have a booking.
We could sit on the second floor which was very airy with high ceiling and big windows. The place has a very relaxed feel to it, yet you can see it would be a trendy place to be.
My friend had the ceviche which I must admit was LOVELY! We couldn't quite work out what is in the marinade but it was very tasty. I had a pizza that was good although I was expecting a crustier dough due to it being very thin (a very minor thing really, it did not stop me from eating it all).
Service was ok, except that it took us over 10 minutes to get a glass of wine when the place wasn't as busy as we expected. We had to ask for it twice but it eventually arrived.
To be fair, those aren't deal breakers at all. We still had a good evening out and we both left well fed. I suppose my expectations were just a little too high for a 5* review...
I'd still recommend it though as their menu looked great - I could have been tempted to go back a second time to taste their steak tartares (yes with a "s" as they have 3 different options on the menu...)

We had car trouble and had to stay in Coyhaique for 4 days - we discovered Mumma Gauchos and visited 3 times! Fantastic menu - pasta was my personal favorite, pizza also great and amazing service. Great atmosphere! Enjoy :)

My coworkers and I were looking for a good place with a fun environment to visit. We were impressed with the quality of the food (we had pizza) and beer. More importantly, the service was excellent and the waitress was incredibly helpful ....she told us what to order and we LOVED everything we had..she even brought us samples of the different artisanal beer to try and choose. If you go, ask for Vale, you wont regret it.
