Several years ago when we started taking a "mud season" break from Northern Vermont, we included Nevis and Nesbit Plantation in our Caribbean exploration. The service standards are of the highest quality here, attentive but not obtrusive. The overall attitude of the staff is cheerful and friendly, from the wait staff at breakfast to the housekeeping crew, to the barman and onward to the fine service at dinner - only fault at dinner was that for a few nights early on in our stay, the time between courses was pretty long.

We enjoyed our cottage, spacious and tastefully decorated. The bathroom is large enough for a vanity with 2 sinks, and a bath and shower combination. There are always adequate linens in the bath. The sitting room is separate from the bedroom (AC available), being that it screened-in to allow natural breezes to circulate. There's a combination clothes closet, safe and coffee making area plus small refrigerator, stocked with cold beverages. There is no TV but Wi-Fi works well and we had no trouble with it.

The breakfast buffet has a good variety; a special-of-the-morning is featured each day. Dinner menus were imaginative and meals nicely prepared and artfully presented.

My only suggestion would be to improve the quality and variety with the "High" Tea at 4 p.m. Some of the small sandwiches were less than imaginative, such as processed cheese, plus a limp piece of lettuce on buttered bread. We had over-baked cookies, too - must add, though, my husband actually prefers them that way!

The Managing Director makes every effort to assure each guest has an enjoyable stay at Nesbit Plantation!

Room Tip: I believe all accommodation are cottages. If there are mobility issues, request a cottage in the center range of the property.

As usual everyone makes you feel so welcome. We so love this resort, the people here and the other guests we get to visit with. We were welcomed at the airport and taken to the boat and then met by Calvin. Right from that point it is like coming home. Thank you all for making our holiday so special. Can't wait to return.

We have just come back from our one week vacation at the Nisbet. The property was very quiet and relaxing despite the fact there were a few families with kids staying at the property due to Easter break. Some family groups were quite large with small kids, but we never felt the place was noisy. Some people did not seem to like the wind at the property (based on the reviews posted here), but we actually liked that it was breezy. It felt much cooler while we were laying on the beach. The beach is rocky in some parts and there were seaweeds, but if you walk a 5 minutes down the shoreline, there was another beach (Herbert?), which was quite nice. We enjoyed all the food at the property. At first, we thought we may get tired of eating at the same restaurant every night, but quite contrary, the menu was varied enough, we were fine. More than fine. All the people at the property was very nice as everyone on the posts mentioned. We really loved the low key, yet sophisticated atmosphere. It was throughly relaxing. I think we will be a repeater like many other people !!

Dera Lenatoya,
Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay. We have had some lovely families staying with us this month: everyone has gotten along so well! Yes, Herbert's beach 5 minutes along from our beach does offer, some of the calmest, shallow swimming. I hope you do become a 'repeater'!!
All the best,
Tim

Best resort. Ever. Great location. Great food. Great service . We keep returning to this place. Just make sure to order flights early enough or you will be hit with additional 1000 dollars (if it is a family of 4 or less). Wifi is only near the reception- the rest is not always working but did you fly all that way to work???
