Ozark Cabins at Dry Creek

Very nice for a state park hotel. The rooms are in a rustic them. They are a little outdated, but they do have a TV and Wife. The rooms are clean and the towels are very white and soft. Liked the quality of the amenities. Lots of channels, but the location of the tv will give you torticollis. The town is very close. People gather behind main street on a park to play old country music. Very nice. This is a dry town only one restaurant serves beer.

Room Tip: Looking at the woods

the room was clean and beds were comfortable. The room was very small and furniture made it seem a little cramped. The way the tvs are set made it uncomfortable to watch from bed or chairs. Microwaves would be nice. We did not know that the restaurant was closed for the season when we booked and that was one of the reasons we stayed here to have workshops and food close by

The basic cabins are tucked in the woods with your own deck. You are within walking distance of the restaurant and craft village but it is an uphill walk. Even though there are many cabins, it was very quiet and peaceful.

Great room very clean and comfortable! Not fancy but all we needed. Close to the skillet and ozark folk center. Walking distance and country setting. Ill be back rather than stay in a motel in town. Perfect for comfortable stay.

We wanted to spend several days in the Mountain View area and attend an evening performance at the theatre at the Ozark Folk Center State Park. These cabins are really just like a hotel room. They were very clean, comfortable and very convenient to all the local attractions. You can walk to the Crafts Village, Theatre and Skillet Restaurant from the cabins or take their shuttle. Also just minutes away from the Courthouse square in Mountain View and the White River for fishing. Request a room over looking the forest and not the street.

The rates are very reasonable and the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.

Cabin was quaint and we loved being in the park. It was quiet and better than being in a hotel. However, place needs remodeling. When showering, a lot of the water comes out of the tub faucet vs. the shower head. Additionally, shower is really loud and my spouse could not hear the TV while I was showering. Tub is old and looks dirty. Rug has a lot of spots. Deck chairs were dirty and pretty chewed up.

We appreciate you staying with us while visiting the Ozark Folk Center. We are happy that you found the cabins quiet, but sorry that your unit was worn. We have just completed an exterior renovation of our cabins this summer, and currently are in the planning stages for an interior renovation. Exterior furniture is being replaced this year. We hope that on a return visit you will see the many changes that are coming to our park. Thank you for the feedback.

My daughter and I went and stayed and the beds are so comfortable, the room was very clean and the deck in the back was perfect for my morning cup of coffee. I am planning on booking at least 2 more stays and driving up before the end of the year. The staff there is extremely kind and very helpful. The pool was just perfect. If my teenager gave 2 thumbs up you know it has to be good.

Room Tip: If it says booked, call or email anyway, they are very helpful.
