Given the COVID-19 situation of 2020, my girlfriend and had to cancel our trip south of the border and looked inside Manitoba vacation for a lovely May long weekend. We booked at Inverness Falls Resort, where I had stayed many years ago. It was a very peaceful trip and a lovely cabin to stay. We were not expecting much, thinking quite rustic, but the cottage was more than we hoped for. We loved the hot tub after our long hikes along the Amisk Trail and other locations around Whiteshell Provincial Park.
The owners and their family were lovely folks and always accommodating for us. Some people who are used to five-star hotel treatment may not like the accommodations, but for us it was exactly what we needed. We loved being so close to the forest in nature and loved the sound of the falls so near our cabin. It was also a great site for a evening fire to just relax.
There are tons of amenities on site for clients to use, including bikes, canoes, paddles boats, and other outdoor games. We enjoyed a lovely evening canoe down the river, during the day we rented the little 9.9hp boat and went fishing and read on the lake, even catching a little dinner. All in all our stay was everything we hoped for and we would like to be back again for a weekend stay. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
