My family and I go here EVERY year at least twice. It is our home away from home. We stay in the small one room cabin usually, but we have stayed in the larger 2 bedroom ones before. They are rustic and not the cleanest I've stayed in, but it is the atmosphere in which we enjoy there. We have a ski boat so we utilize the marina that is down the hill from there. They have boat slips and sell all necessary boating/basic needs there. We always get a lake facing cabin (NO extra charge-just ask them!) The owners are really nice and they WILL know you by name if you go more than once. They even know my dogs name and greet me at the door when we arrive! I can't say enough good things about the owners. The cafe is very good as well and reasonably priced.
IF you are staying here for the first time here is what you NEED to know:
-They are fully furnished, but you might want to bring plastic cups, paper plates, and maybe some sharp knives because there are very little in the cabin
-Bring your own water. Theirs does not taste good
-The pillows are NOT good. Bring your own
-The beds are not comfortable so bring something that will help ease that.
-You have to walk down a LARGE hill to get to the marina so make sure you bring tennis shoes. Wet flip flops make for a difficult walk!!!
