“Damp hotel”

The hotel is no good. all the rooms are very damp. The Manager Mr. Sharma and his staff were good, but the hotel itself is no good. No view facing rooms.
We stayed for 2 days but was not a good experience.

I had booked two bonanza rooms for two days.On arrival i was shown & given two ordinary rooms which were exactly opposite of what was shown on Internet on hotel site.Since it was late and we had no choice we stayed for one night.Next morning we offered to checkout but was forced to pay for two days.Rooms were we stayed were dirty with broken furniture & had strange smell.Food was equally bad and behaviour of senior staff was like they were obliging us all through.Recommend this place to person whom you dislike most.
I shifted to a better hotel next day because I never wanted to spoil my vacation further.

We had planned a 3 day stay at this hotel. Due to some reason our vacation got preponed so we landed 2 days earlier. We requested them to adjust the amount we had paid for the reserved days with the days we were staying but they refused saying we would need to pay extra even though our vacation days remained 3. We agreed thinking it might be a agood hotel. But then we saw our room, it was a corner room with 2 seprate beds and no balcony and absolutely no view of anything. It was the so called deluxe room , which they had said that would have a magnificent view. The rooms were stinking bad coz the carpet there had not seen sunlight in god knows how many days!!! We told them we dont like the room , they showed us some more but each was worse than previous one. Finally we decied not to stay there and cancelled our stay. The hotel management refused to pay back our booking amount even hough we didnt even stay a single day there. They completely ruined our 1 day of holiday as we had to go looking for a new hotel.

Dharamshala is a very popular hill station. The summer heat and the throngs of crowd, from all over the world make it a literal hot spot. So head to Bhagsu Nag (even above the upper McLeod Ganj) if you want some peace and chill.

This hotel is very new and the rooms are neat and clean. There is an aura of "detox" all over the hotel. The first floor has a collection of natural products and the entire hotel smells of the fragrance used in aroma therapy. Whenever I saw there was a lively Yoga session going on in the terrace on the 3rd floor, complete with music and dancing.

The food is good. Priced a little on the higher side as compared to the others but still reasonable with the standard offered. The quality is very very good. The service is excellent. The staff comprises of many locals and is friendly.

The location is Bhagsu Nag, which forms 1 of the sight seeing points of the hill station. There is an ancient temple and an open swimming pool near it. There is a well built footpath to the Bhagsu Nag Water fall which takes about 15 minutes to reach. The end of the trek is a little difficult as you have to cross two short walls to reach the fall.
The shops and the cafes including the German bakery near the taxi parking area are self sufficient and you will find everything you need here.

The only downside of the hotel was the lack of working elevators. We were told the construction will be complete in a few months. The hotel has their own set of car drivers and offer a competitive rate for sight seeing as well as transfers to airport/nearby cities.

Room Tip: Try for the eastern side, especially 3rd floor

I spent several weeks travelling around North India and this hotel was the one hotel I was extremely disappointed with.
There is very little that was positive about the experience except for the helpfulness of the night manager and the location.
This hotel is noisy, dirty, cold and the food in the restaurant is of poor quality.

We were searching Good Hotel for our stay at Dharamshala because we were interested in IPL match which was on 15 and 17 of may 2011. we stayed at Hotel Anand Palace rooms, which is on the third floor. The terrace on the third floor is wonderfull. we enjoyed on the terrace . The rooms service gave us sevices on third floor. The rooms were clean . They arranged car for the local sieght seeing at very good price. The food was very tasty. only the drawback is that the hotel does not have elevator. The GM of the Hotel is very helpfull. This hotel is near to Bhagsu Temple and located at good location. The view from the room is fantastic. I will always stay there and would recommend this Hotel to All hte travellor.

Room Tip: Deluxe room is having good view.
