Chaturbhuj temple is one of the main sightseeing that you shouldn't miss on your Orchha Trip. The temple is just 2 minutes walk from Rajaram Temple. Early it used to be the palace of Bundle Kings. After the construction of Orchha Fort the royal family moved to the fort and left this building as a temple. Chaturbhuj Temple has a very strong connection with Orchha history. The giant gate of the temple and multi storey temple gives a perfect view of Orchha village. Guided tour is available with the cost of Rs 20 per persona. Rest can be heard in light and sound show at Orchha Fort. There is a lot to discover, be there and uncover more.

Chaturbhuj Temple is an absolutely stunning architectural marvel. It is quite unlike the usual template of a temple, specially from the inside. A speech impaired chap hangs around there and for a small price takes you around the upper stories of the temple and points out the best places for taking photos and selfies! The 'bhool-bhulaiyya' (mystery maze) on the upper stories of the temple can be accessed from a small door from the inside. The main-ticket which is available at the entrance of the Palace Complex (opposite side of the temple) is valid to give you access to this maze on the upper floors. If you haven't bought the tickets yet, you can get access by paying 10 rupees to the guy who mans the access door in the temple. Vultures can be seen sitting on the temple tops. Preferably visit the temple in the morning time.
