Hotel Pushkar Palace

Although the hotel is located in the best spot in Pushkar, the overall experience was unpleasant. There was a strong smell of sewage in the room through the entire 3 nights that we stayed at the hotel, breakfast was poor and insufficient and Wi-Fi did not work at the room.

Room Tip: We stayed at a room at the 3rd floor and the smell of sewage was horrible.

We stayed for one night. It is a lovely old building with great style but could do with a bit of tlc. Fabulous setting right on the lake with great views from the balcony and especially from the roof terrace. Breakfast was good. The whole of Pushkar was drowned in loud thumping music for most of the night which was dreadful.

Lovely, quaint old 'colonial' era type hotel with great view of the lake, ghatts and Pushkar convenient for local walks and town.
However, the range and quality of the food is nothing to write home about, and I would suggest you seek elsewhere to eat.
Suffered from noise from the local celebrations and partying across the town overnight, but is was wedding season. Air conditioning would drown out a lot of this.
Beware, Pushkar is a totally Vegan and alcohol free town, however the range and quality of the evening menu here was poor, and service left something to be desired. I am sure there is somewhere better to eat in town

undoubtedly the best location in Pushkar for those who come for Brahma Sarovar and Brahma Temple. lovely view of the lake and the GHATs. Property is good but rooms are costly, for the facilities and services they provide. Bathroom deserves better felicities, maintenance and toiletries. Staff at reception (can you really call it Reception though, a small space at the entrance gate) need to be more professional and courteous.
Food is ok. Breakfast is complementary so you have no option but to accept whatever they offer. Even much smaller and far cheaper hotels would be giving better and more elaborate breakfast. If you are paying for your breakfast, better take outside.

Room Tip: Higher floor, the better.

Pushkar is a beatiful place and very interesting. It has a lot of merits to be visited and I recommend visiting first Ajmer, just 15 kms from Pushkar. The hotel is in a nice building but that's it. Service is very, very poor and no wi-fi in the rooms. There are not lobby and just a front desk at the entrance. You have to connect there!! Food terrible!! in few words: visit Pushkar but avoid this hotel.

Room Tip: No recommendation on this subject.

We assume we stayed in the "Royal Suite". It had an antique poster bed, but the large room was cold and need to be heated by 2 portable heaters. View from the room was limited as the small windows were covered with mosquito netting. Pigeons were very noisy. Breakfast was included but very limited and would be nothing that a hostel couldn't provide. The placemats were torn and old. This is a dry hotel and suspect the whole village as well.

This is a heritage building but definitely not more than a 2 star when compared to where we have stayed in our travels. You locked your door with an old fashioned padlock. The bathroom was rudimentary with a regular toilet and tub/ shower that flooded the floor. Compared to all other hotels we stayed in our one month trip to India, the staff here were not helpful or friendly.

We ate at friendly and good restaurants across the street. Shopping is all within safe walking distance from the hotel.

With some changes this hotel could change it's star level. We were on the main floor, but did not see an elevator for the other 4 floors.

The view from the third floor balcony is spectacular. The WIFI is nonexistent. The room felt crowded with old furniture that while quaint was unnecessary. And the dog barking which circles the amphitheater of the lake made it a bit difficult to sleep.
