Sounds marvellous as a Heritage Star Hotel on the side of the lake in this very holy town but, frankly, is one to steer clear of unless desperate. Terrible breakfast! One night was enough. Brahma Temple is one of the few places to visit but be careful of the 'donation' chasers down at the ghats/lakeside.

I wished we had read the reviews before we booked. The welcome was bordering on chronic, apathy..This felt like a hotel without a manager, apparently the manager is usually away. The staff were constantly lolling around the corridors waiting for some service to be tipped for but when our electrics kept failing they did fix it (sort of) and then wanted tipping! The balcony views are amazing from 3rd floor, rooms well furnished, bathrooms little dated but adequate. Call to prayer non stop. Don't eat here, even breakfast was poor. There were so many staff but everyone made you feel like you were a nuisance. On balance, one to miss.

The hotel is lovely old historic building and room quite comfortable. Service a bit hit and miss. Reception particularly unfriendly. Dinner was in one of a series of small poky dining rooms overlooking the lake but hard to see as windows are tiny. Food pretty awful, I had vegetable curry which was watery and tasteless. No pickles or side dishes which are often included in Indian restaurants. My wife does,t eat Indian and asked for an omelette and was refused only place in India where this happened. The views of the lake from balcony are nice but this hotel needs to improve service and food if it wants to compete with other similar heritage hotels.

Room Tip: Best views from top floor there is a lift

This place had amazing views from outside each room in the upper floors, you could sit outside and just watch the world go by, and listen to the music from across the lake. Easy walk into town. Breakfast was continental (bread, croissants, banana pancakes). Very enjoyable stay.

An old building, sympathetically modernised and offering great verandah views of the lake.

Despite high noise levels of prayer and celebratory music from worshippers and nearby temples, our third floor room was peaceful and clean; well equipped and air conditioned. The old world adjoining dressing room and ensuite was welcome, and helped avoid suitcase clutter and mess.

After a difficult and complex pre-trip email exchange about advance payment, we feared the worst about a positive staff welcome. In reality, whilst not particularly warm, staff who weren't asleep at reception or on the landings, were efficient if not particularly friendly.

The inclusive breakfast of fresh fruit and breads was much appreciated - we'd recommend eating this outside in the restaurant garden. We didn't try dinner as so many earlier reviews recommended eating out.

Ugly, noisy, stained and disgusting sheets. Terrible service. Far too expensive for what we got... run from this place .
We were there during the Pushkar fair. Location is very good and view of the ghats is nice (but they are far so you will not see much). Unfortunately not much choice in the area.

A nice hotel close to Pushkar Lake, good sized clean rooms with excellent verandah so you can sit outside your room to soak up the sacred view.
The hotel is in a great area close to all the local shops and a short walk to the main temples area. We didn't eat here but went down to the dining areas nearby.
We did have breakfast here, but found it very basic with not a lot of choice.
All in all, a great quaint old world hotel in a great spot with nice rooms and comfortable beds.

Room Tip: They all seem to be good rooms.
