“Perfect hotel , perfect vacation!”
Reviewed 3 August 2011

We stayed at the Olympia hotel for 4 nights, 6 adults and a 2-year-old baby.
We arrived very- very late at night and still we were welcomed with a smile .
The rooms were very comfortable, the service was great and above all-
breakfast was fantastic!!
We would certainly recommend this hotel to our friends.
Thank you!

Service was extremely helpful and very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble such as reccomending and facilitating walks, eating and travel options. Family run with the proprietor having a big interest in herb growing and alternative remedies(which benefitted my sore foot). Packed lunches were available on request. Spectacular views from hotel which is also only 3-4 mins walk from town centre. This is the second time i have stayed here and would highly recommend it.

Seefeld is an ideal location to enjoy the magnificence of the Austrian Alps.
This idyllic town provides generous hospitality in charming surroundings.
We stayed in the Olympia, a family-run hotel which was top class in offering a very personal yet highly professional service to all its guests.
Our on-suite bedroom was spacious, comfortable and welcoming.
Being only three minutes from the town centre, bus and train station was an immediate plus for us. We also adored the buffet breakfast which set us up for our daily hikes into the mountains or trips to nearby attractions. The Olympia was an inspired choice of accommodation for our unforgettable holiday in the Tirol region of Austria.

This is an attractive hotel close to the town centre but far away enough for peaceful nights sleep. Railway station is a 4 minute walk down the road and bus terminal also at the station. This makes trips all over the Tirol easy and very practical. A short walk to the ski lifts and gondola is also a great plus.
Manuella and Abdul, the owners, are superb! Nothing was too much trouble. We were in a group and special effort was made to inform us on the local sights, activities and places of interest. Manuella is an outstanding cook and uses many of her homegrown herbs to flavour her delightful cuisine. The menus were creative, beautifully served and prepared with the breads, herb teas and salads all home grown/prepared. 2 of our party were on special diets and their needs were catered for to a very high standard.
The accommodation is excellent, rooms spotless, bathrooms newly refurbished to highest quality, rooms cleaned daily with fresh linen, balcony on all rooms overlooking the glorious Alps and plenty storage space provided. We had a suit of rooms! The entire party of 28 people raved about our stay...we will definitely return to beautiful Seefeld and this very welcoming, high standard hotel! Nothing to complain about!

The church group that I led has just come back from a lovely 5 night stay. From the moment that the owners, Manuela and Abdul Walzl, welcomed us with the warmest smiles you have ever seen, we knew we were going to be well looked after.

The hotel is in a quiet road among several other hotels, only about 5 to 10 minutes walk on the flat to the centre of the village. It stands in a small garden where we were able to relax. Inside there is a very comfortable lounge area next to reception.

We were shown to rooms that vary in size quite considerably - the largest have both large sleeping areas and a separate sitting area with a curtain between. Everything is immaculately clean and beautifully furnished. The bathrooms are very modern and tasteful.

The only drawback is that there is no lift but we were very readily given help with the luggage. A disabled member of the party and some less fit members of the group were well catered for in ground floor rooms.

The hotel is listed as a bed and breakfast hotel but they do offer half board to groups (and I understand in some other circumstances) and we were able to enjoy some fine cooking in the evenings. Do not be put off by the emphasis on herbs; they are used very subtly and added a dimension to our meals. There was generally no choice of courses but what we were given was excellent and varied. A coeliac sufferer and a vegetarian were catered for in an imaginative and caring way.

Manuela and Abdul made sure that everything that could be done to make our holiday a success was done and went way beyond the norm.

Overall I think this among the best 3 star hotels I have stayed in and if it were not for the lack of a few facilities such as a lift, I am sure that the official rating would be very much higher.

The hosts are nice & friendly, and they provided me hiking information before I went to Seefeld. there are two supermarket nearby but it is a little pity that there is no refrigator in my room. they have a lovely small garden and I had fresh herb tea when I ate breakast.(you can enjoy beautiful mountains while have breakfast!)

If you want a bed and breakfast hotel in Seefeld, it would be hard to do better than the Olympia. Situated in a quiet road just five minutes walk from the centre, it has very nice comfortable rooms (though not large), all with balconies and English channels on the TV. The public areas are well furnished and the atmosphere is good.
A key point is that the soundproofing between rooms is much better than in most other places, so you get a good night's sleep.
On the very slightly negative side, breakfast is good rather than spectacular (the coffee is rubbish!) and while the staff were very courteous, they were not as effusively friendly as other places I've stayed at in Austria. It's quite good value, but hardly a bargain.
I'd definitely recommend a stay here.
