We booked a last minute cheap deal with Crystal and after checking the pictures on the website didn't have high expectations of the hotel. The bedrooms were very old and dated however were clean. For the duration of our holiday we had no hot water in the sink or shower. We could have a hot bath but only before 5.00pm! The explaination was that there was a water pressure problem and that was just the way it was. The swimming pool was cold everyday and the staff just seemed to dismiss this, the steamroom or whirlpool didn't work all week and no effort seemed to made to fix it. We were informed that dinner would be served between 7pm and 9pm, when we arrived at 8.00pm the main course food was all stone cold. We complained on a number of occasions but this was also dismissed by the staff who by this stage were being rude and again no apology was ever offered. We opted to eat out as we were aware of the health risks to serving cold food. Never pick this hotel to stay in when there are so many nice hotels in Seefeld. You have been warned!!!!

Last minute cheap deal so not expecting too much from this hotel but it did not meet even these extectations. The rooms although clean were very basic and the food was dreadful. Luke warm buffet food which is not only awful to eat it is very dangerous! We raised our concerns with the Crystal rep but both the hotel and crystal dismissed our complaint. We read the reviews on this hotel when we got home and it seems that the cold pool and nothing else working is not new and it has been like this for a few years. The main problem was the hotel managements complete disregard for health and safety, it almost seemed that they did not know what they were doing. And when you raise a complaint you can forget friendly staff!! Some very weird things happened like our lightbulbs being unscrewed?? Trust me there are some lovely cheaper hotels in Seefeld and it is a beautiful resort, stay somewhere else!

Travelled with Crystal as a family group, last minute cheap deal. Wasn't expecting too much from the hotel for the money we paid. Rooms are dated and need refurbished. From the 3 rooms we had only 1 had a safe. Pool was too cold to use and was very cloudy! Nothing else in the pool area worked (sauna/ whirlpool) and it doesn't seem to have worked in the last few years. The worst bit was the food. Dinner is between 7pm to 9pm buffet style. The staff put all the food out at 7pm and make no effort to keep it warm. By 8pm all the food was cold and 3 members of our party got really sick. The staff didn't seem to understand the problem and dismissed us very quickly. When we tried to move hotels the hotel wanted us to pay £1300 to leave, as a cancellation fee!! After complaining the staff then intimidated and harassed us and even entered the bedrooms while we were out. Been to Austria about 20 times and this by far the worst place I have ever stayed. Anyone writing good comments about this hotel must be related to the owner. Stay clear of this hotel!!

We had a splendid time at this hotel in January. Hotel was booked as last minute deal with Crystal. We were given a suite with a balcony (I actually sunbathed on it). The place just changed the owners and is now working hard to get its costumers back.
The hotel was only half full. We had the very nice swimming pool and sauna for ourselves on most evenings.
Food was ok (pasta excellent), they obviously had to work on a budget. But they tried hard to perk up even the salad buffet with something special every day.
Main difference makes the staff. Each one of them were extremely helpful, extra wishes encouraged and just did everything to make your stay comfortable. The chambermaid created different heart shapes with our duvets;)
I am a cross country skier. The resorts was excellent for me (hundreds of pistes going through woods and valleys). My partner - a good down hill skier - was not so happy. Just a limited amount of interesting pistes and compared to this an expensive ski pass.
The excellent star that I gave is in relation to price, etc. It is not a five star establishment, but a very nice place to stay in you holiday.

We booked a last minute deal for 3 adults with Crystal. The Crystal lady informed me there were no single rooms available and I emailed the hotel to check (took me ages to find the website). I received a reply within hours and the receptionist Chiara said she would book us a suite - see room tips. The single adult was given a fold-up bed and this was a bit old and lumpy. After discussion with Chiara, this was changed to a proper bed mattress. I don't understand why a full paying adult should be expected to sleep in a child's bed. The hotel was clean and comfortable the room was cleaned and towels changed every day by smiley ladies. All staff were helpful - the Hotel would be fab if it was updated. Seefeld itself is a good all round resort although not suitable for really serious skiers. Curling, tobogganing, skating, cross country skiing and beautiful cleared walking tracks were also on offer. We had some exceptional meals and cakes at reasonable prices - we would definitely go back to the hotel and resort as we only scratched the surface in a week. Last but not least a round of applause for Mother Nature and her wonderful winter wonderland.

Room Tip: We had a slightly strange suite at the back of the hotel. It was a bit dated but clean and comfortab...

I'm writing this review as I often use Trip Advisor before booking. I usually only think to leave negative comments to warn othrs which clearly will not help anyone book a good hotel!

I booked a last minute deal through Crystal to ski in Seefeld. I booked to stay for a week in Hotel Tyrol, bed and breakfast. I stayed with my girlfriend. We were looking for something clean and comfortable to allow us to ski all day and relax and sleep at night. That is what we got!

We were put in a twin room which was not our preference but we knew it was a possibility when we booked. The room was slightly dated but was always clean with fresh towels every day. We went to ski and the location of this hotel allowed us access to both main ski areas and also the beginners slopes. The hotel is located next to a bus stop which has a bus arrive every 20 minutes to take you to both ski areas and also into the town. At night we walked into the town which was about a 5-10 minute walk to the centre where there are lots of nice restaurants to eat in. From looking at the menus they all do lovely lunches also.

The staff at the hotel all spoke excellent english which was pleasant and were very friendly and helpful. The sauna light broke and the sauna turned off by another guest by accident. I reported this and it was sorted by the next day. There is a small pool which is nice to relax in although cooler than preferred. Again, the pool is clean and always has fresh towels there which saves you using your room towels when swimming or using the sauna.

On the last day we had to be out of the room by 11am. We didnt ask to extend the room so do not know the charge. We were able to leave our bags at reception and we wandered around in the town until pick up. We arrived back early and waited in reception for an hour or so with other guests. The opinion of the other guests appeared to match mine. I noticed also that there was a TV set up in reception and on the last day this was playing films in english and all the kids were sat around watching these. I can imagine this is a helpful aid for families trying to entertain kids while awaiting the transfer coach.

All in all we had an excellent holiday. Would recommend anyone looking for value for money to stay at the Hotel Tyrol.

Booked a late deal with last minute.com Seefeld pensions, a Inghams holiday allocation on arrival, family run hotel staff very helpful, very good value for what we paid, beds very comfortable and lovely pillows, some rooms have been updated, very clean in all areas, central location for trains and buses and shops and restaurants, good train service for Innsbruck and Garmisch, would book this deal again, well worth the money.
