This is a lovely small hotel (12 rooms, I believe), right in the heart of Nafplio "Old Town". We had a lovely, large room with balcony. It, and the entire hotel, was immaculate.

All of the staff were exceptionally accommodating and friendly. The hotel is family owned and run and the family were lovely. Ioannis (the son) speaks perfect English and was particularly friendly. When we arrived back at the hotel after dinner we had a lovely time sitting in the outside area with a coffee chatting to him. As we were travelling "ad-hoc" he even made a suggestion for our next destination and rang to make the booking for us.

Of course nobody could review this hotel without mentioning the buffet breakfast, So many choices from bacon and eggs through croissants, fruit, cakes etc etc. All topped off with fresh squeezed (truly) orange juice.

I notice a few comments re car access and parking. It is not actually as bad as might have been expressed. The street above the hotel provides the best access for dropping off your bags (it is quite wide for Europe) and there is then plenty of public parking nearby, We were able to actually park in the street above the hotel.

Highly recommended.

Lovely little hotel in the old town. Stayed in a spacious room with balcony in the third floor with great view. Very clean room and bathroom. A big bathroom for a change.Absolutely the best breakfast we had in Greece.Freshly squeezed Orange juice served daily with a smile. Cons. A kettle in the room for tea making is lacking .Also around 38 steps from street level.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the higher floor with balcony

We stayed at this hotel in June for three nights. The room was very spacious with a comfortable huge bed and beautiful design. We had a baby cot in the room which was provided by the hotel along with the linens. The staff was very helpful and they were very willing to bring us anything we needed to the room including warming up the baby's food. The elevator is a great advantage for families especially with young children. The room included a jacuzzi and refrigerator full of complimentary juice and water. The buffet breakfast had a wide a variety of delicious sweet and savory dishes. The only disadvantages were difficulty parking close to the hotel. Also accessibility is problematic especially for people with baby strollers and disabilities as you have to go up a large flight of stairs to reach the hotel entrance. Nevertheless I would definitely visit this hotel again and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, relaxing stay in Nafplio.

Well, Gran Sarai is a bit of an extravagance I suppose, but worth every penny!
Beautiful old converted house in back streets of Nauplio old town. Modern, stylish design and furnishings. We had a brilliant very spacious corner room on top floor overlooking old town and harbour, and the castle, (301 I think). nice staff, very good breakfast, great position. We paid €150 per night in sept, B and B. Worth it! Go on splash ou!

Room Tip: Higher the better, rooms are individually priced.

Drive up to the hotel first to drop off your luggage then go look for parking in town. Looking for parking was not that bad coz theres a lot available. After we were checked in the lady in the reception ushered us to our room. The whole place is fully renovated and modernized all controls were based on proximity card as room key including lights leading to room. The room amenities include juice, water and a bottle of wine. We were upgrade at check in and room views were of downtown and water. The bed is big comfortable nice floppy pillows crisp white cotton linen. The whole place is super clean. Bathroom with good water pressure the toiletries were of olive oil derivative which was very nice. The breakfast was excellent. Freshly squeezed orange juice boiled and sunny side up eggs croissant all types of bread and cereal fruits, ham and sausage cakes dates dried fruit. The service is so personalized that i felt they only squeezed the orange juice for me.
It is a great location around 5 minutes walk to syntagma square, 10 min walk to the promenade, shops and restaurants.
Its also very close to the castle but i cant say much about it coz we didnt go there. The streets around and going to the hotel is very picturesque that theres a couple of people walking around snapping photos.
This is a family run hotel thats why the personal touch, excellent service , cleanliness is of top notch quality.
I regretted i only had 1 night here but would definitely come back coz of all the greek cities ive been nafplio is my most favorite.
