We were over for a week of spring cycling and Casa Bougainvillea proved to be the ideal place to stay in Soller. Hosts Nina, Matt and Katia looked after our needs and were great with local information on places to eat and the like.Nice quiet position in town with a short walk to some excellent restaurants. This was a hugely successful week on all fronts, with lots of cycling on fantastic roads and just lovely to return to the comforts of CB every evening. Thanks for looking after us so well. We'll be back.

The room was quaint and cute, with all the necessary essentials. But what was most excellent about this place was the service by the owners and staff. They were always friendly and willing to help, giving us tons of recommendations (bike routes, restaurants, how to get urgent care - strep throat while abroad :(, and just good conversation). Breakfasts were great with fresh fruit, local meats and cheeses, croissants, breads, jams, egg dish, ... delicious. Even though we were on a somewhat busy street, the noise wasn't noticeable due to the special windows they've installed to help block it. I also thought the location was perfect, just a couple blocks from the main square. It was very convenient for getting to restaurants but not right in the thick of it. And, they were bike-friendly, so we were able to easily store our bikes on site when we weren't riding them.

Room Tip: Wifi was sometimes spotty in our room on the 3rd floor, but it always worked from all the public spaces.

I keep coming back here and continue to be delighted by this lovely town house in a residential area with easy walking to the town centre and great links to the bus service, tram and train station. You can relax in the pretty little garden or stroll into the central square of Soller in minutes. Great breakfast with changing treats every day. Nina and Matthew are welcoming and helpful. Lots of walking straight from the door and more adventurous walks easy to find. Don't miss the Saturday market which runs right through the main square. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Room Tip: Views of the little garden are my favourite but have slept soundly in rooms facing the street too.

So glad we discovered Soller and Casa Bougainvillea. The townhouse and garden are charming and a delight to return to after a day out. The rooms are light and airy and pleasantly decorated and there is a sitting room for use of guests. Our favourite room overlooks the garden, but we have also found the rooms at the front comfortable and attractive.
Matt and Nina are excellent hosts and very knowledgeable about the area. Breakfasts are delicious and healthy and there are many good restaurants nearby.
We hadn't been in February before but found the weather just right right for walking. Easy to access surrounding countryside on foot. Bus ride to Valledemossa has dramatic views and train ride to Palma takes you through the mountains. Walk down to port, up to lighthouse gives different aspects of the bay, then tram back home is well worth it.

Room Tip: Garden rooms have best view of mountains.

We were so pleased to have found Soller as a place to stay. Casa Bougainvillea is run by a lovely english family who were very helpful and friendly. We had two rooms on the top floor. It was hot as it was the middle of summer with no aircon (as we were in an old style house) but we were told how to get a breeze through and with the fans it did not bother us. There were a lot of steps to our rooms but plenty of other rooms if this is a problem.
The breakfast were great. Fresh and healthy.
Soller was fanatastic. Plenty to see and an easy place to get around from. It was nice staying in the village rather than the the port.
Matt gave us some great recommendations for eateries (our favourite being a german run vegetarian cafe!)
We also took a boat ride around the top part of the island which was breathtaking.
A Lovely stay.
