“Luxury Living for a week”

Just spent a week at Glenvarloch, Beautiful house in a lovely little village with a small post office/shop and a pub across the road.
The house was excellent for our party of 3 teenage girls, as they could spread out and utalise the study, lounge and bedrooms. The kitchen had loads of utensils/pots, pans etc which is rarely seen in self catering acommodation and the addition of a washing machine and dryer so I didnt have to take a mountain of washing home was a bonus.
The master bedroom with the en suite bathroom was great and the spa bath was lovely after long walks and cycle rides.
THere were loads of walks and cycle routes right on the doorstep, just wished the weather was a little better.
The location of the property is stunning, we never tired of the fantastic views from the house, and the walk up the hill behind the property is a must for any visitor to see the stunning views from the top.
We all really enjoyed our stay and used the local pub across the road a few times and also used the Lade Inn near Callender and the Riverside Inn in Callender for some really good meals.
Thank you for a lovely stay and hopefully will return in the future.

Many thanks for your positive comments ! Alas we cannot change the weather which has been the wet for most of the UK this Summer - but at least the Waterfalls are more spectacular than usual ! So glad you made use of and appreciated the space you get when booking Glenvarloch. We look forward to you returning another time. Best wishes, John & Glenise

“Absolutely Fabulous Holiday Accommodation”

This is one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed at. The owners have thought of pretty much everything and their photos don't do it justice. The cottage is open plan on two floors, with lots of separate places/nooks and crannies, so if you're a big group, you wouldn't feel on top of each other. The beds and seats are extremely comfortable. The floors are all slate or wood, so no worries about getting them dirty - they're easy to clean. The kitchen has just about everything we could need, and doubling up on china and cutlery was a godsend, as we didn't have to wash anything whilst waiting for the dishwasher to finish. We loved the American style large fridge/freezer with the ice maker. The bottle of wine when we arrived was a very welcome touch, as we're all the books in the office. Our two Cavalier King Charles have thoroughly enjoyed all the doggy things - dog basket, water/food bowls and the bonios kindly left by Glenise and John. The Wifi connection was excellent. The views from the cottage at the back are stunning - we went on some circular walks from the cottage through beautiful countryside. There are plenty more positives - we would just like to thank Glenise and John for letting us share their cottage, and we'd like to come back (if they'll have us!)

“Great location for excellent walks”

Stayed at Glenvarloch with a party of 7 on our first trip to this part of Scotland. The property was luxurious with excellent facilities and made for a relaxing retreat after a days walking in the surrounding countryside.

The property is located in a small village and is on the main road which was not quite as remote as we imagined from the photo's.

Exploring the Loch's, climbing for a snow ball fight on the mountain, seeing Red Squirrels, deer and interesting local towns made the stay highly enjoyable.

Thank you for your 5 star reviews on all points - it's a pity you allowed the road that provides easy access to so many locations in less than an hour was the only negative for you - especially as there were those of your party who had stayed with us last year and were fully aware of the benefits. Best wishes, J&G
