One of the best butterfly parks I’ve been to. Stunning inside area filled with plants and flowers. Butterflies everywhere. Breeding section and cocoon area too. Very interesting.

This is the butterfly park close to Ubud, not to be confused with the one farther away in Tabanan. It is Rp100,000 per person to enter, which includes a welcome drink. The butterflies are in a well landscaped enclosure, and they are flying all around you as you visit. There is a section where they have the life stages of the butterflies, and the chrysalis on display are amazing! There is a restaurant on site and a small souvenir shop. Very enjoyable!

The set up is impressive and there are a lot of beautiful butterflies. But there was no education about any of them. Considering the price (100k) it just wasn’t really worth it. If the price was a bit lower or if someone was there to talk about the different types and inform people about the project it would make a huge difference.

Quite expensive entry price but they do give you a cold drink and a discount voucher for food and souvenirs. Very pretty park with so many butterflies of some lovely vibrant colours fluttering around. Very informative when we stopped in the hatchery and spoke to the guy working in there, I learnt a lot from him. Food in the restaurant was good too.

Lots of butterflies, lots of cocoons and knowledgable staff. We wandered through at our own pace, enjoying the home that was created for the butterflies and trying to catch them in photographs. We stayed for a bit of food afterwards, overlooking the neighbouring field, lovely and relaxing.
