We skipped the expensive hotel breakfast and went to Rick & Ann's. It is right down the hill from the Claremont Hotel, super convenient.

We went on a Thursday morning and it was full so be prepared to wait a bit. The decor feels like a country kitchen and the staff is hustling and everyone is helping each other out.

We had pancakes, Emily's Egg Breakfast and the North East. The hash on the side of Emily's had a dollop of sour cream, which was a nice touch. My husband said the red flannel hash on the side of the North East was the best he'd ever had.

Also ordered milkshakes and gave us a to go cup when too full to finish.

If you're nearby, definitely go for a meal.

There is a reason locals and visitors wait in line for breakfast at this place. We tried different dishes and everything was fantastic. The pancakes are huge, so get the short stack. The turkey sausage is perfectly spiced. The fruit is fresh. They run an efficient enterprise.

The orange pancakes were good, but not impressive. A bit crowded and loud. Good decent food but a little below high expectations.

We stayed at the claremont so dropped in for breakfast. Service was efficient, friendly and helpful. Many veggie choices and large variety for breakfast. We were quite pleased.
