We skipped the expensive hotel breakfast and went to Rick & Ann's. It is right down the hill from the Claremont Hotel, super convenient.
We went on a Thursday morning and it was full so be prepared to wait a bit. The decor feels like a country kitchen and the staff is hustling and everyone is helping each other out.
We had pancakes, Emily's Egg Breakfast and the North East. The hash on the side of Emily's had a dollop of sour cream, which was a nice touch. My husband said the red flannel hash on the side of the North East was the best he'd ever had.
Also ordered milkshakes and gave us a to go cup when too full to finish.
If you're nearby, definitely go for a meal.
